Next to the AMPII Demo ([url removed] -> Downloads), Splinter Cell has always had the best shadow effects I've ever seen! They're just so f**king nice; different colored shadows, realistically morphing sizes and shapes of shadows, shadows are cast from level to character to level again, or from character's arm to his torso to his leg then eventually to another character and then the level. It's just so f**king nice! The levels are also INSANELY detailed and nice... just check out the oringal Rainbow Six for a glimpse at how much Red Storm has evolved in their time, the toilets used to be stop-signs for f**k sakes! Screensavers on computers with modeled wires and mouses (plural of a computer mouse?) are f**king insane! Shooting anything in the level and seeing to progressively become destroyed with each shot is a feast for the eyes. One of the most visually pleasing and advanced games to date, and runs LOADS BETTER than UT2K3 which in my opinion has graphics which don't even NEARLY warrant the system requirements. f**k man, even the original Unreal engine looks and plays better than UT2K3 and its engine, but the first Unreal Tournament will always be my favourite, its graphics are breathtaking; if you stand by a multi-colored computer terminal on a wall with your back turned, every single color will be cast onto your weapon according to its position, brightness, and color. It's simply a f**king amazing graphical effect! In my opinion, Unreal Tournament has better graphics than Quake 3 Arena, it's just so f**king great looking. But Ritual with Star Trek: Elite Force 2 have taken the Quake 3 engine and overhauled it to look better than almost any of the newer games and engines of today!, in full graphics and high resolutions there's simply few games that come even close to its visual prowess. Like EF2, Splinter Cell is way ahead of its time, and will be so and also be a example and benchmark for games to come for a LONG time.
