Welcome to destination Far Cry

You are Jack Carver running your own boat charter business in beautiful Micronesia. With a past best left behind you, you'll be focusing on your present assignment: escorting an ambitious journalist named Valerie Cortez to the Island of Cabatu. It seems like a piece of cake, but you'll soon learn: paradise can be hell.

Featured Mission: Fort - Playable with three levels of difficulty

After an explosive skirmish aboard a beached carrier, Jack secures transport via a small zodiac raft. With no sign of his abducted client, Val, Jack heads deeper into the vast island chain, intent upon destroying the merc's communication facility. With any luck, the resulting confusion will be just enough to keep the merc patrols disoriented and keep Jack himself alive.

Yes i bought a hole new rig, just to play the demo, and ow yeah it kicks, my ass almost burst into flames when i saw what my 2.3 ghz "judgement day" cpu could deliver, let me tell you its so sweet icant stop singing, and the graphics card, just for the hell of it i cranked up half-life on 1280 x 720, hehe let me tell you my d**k never lost in focus.Praise the celeron manufacturer for this untamed force of destruction.Let me tell you right away, DOOM III 1600 x 900 max detail here i come.

I am bored of all those loosers in this web site, that 90% of them have no idea about computer games development and they only come here to write about their "absolute" knowledge of a game even without playing the game. Others talk about Intel and AMD (quite usual) which oine suchs more e.t.c others showing off (i play doom3 on earth simulator) e.t.c. But most of all you miss the point idiots. btw, the game runs smooth on 800x600 with all options medium on an amd 2600+, geforce 5600 512mb ddr ram. anything over and it gets a little jerky. and who the hgell came up wit hthe control system for the vehicles? goddamit, the camera is f**ked up in 3rd person, and in first person the vehicle frame gets in the way.take tips from BF next time guys....

Something is wrong with my version of demo. I have good computer, the game loads fine, but when it starts,i cant even see my gun, or the boat, even though I can shoot and drive. When I move the gun up , i see it, and the sems to be above me. What's wrong?

very cool if only vietcong had these graphics and smooth frame rates.this game has awsome shading and even better physics,i shot the helicopter with rocket launcher and 2 guys fell out and went hurdling down a hill hitin trees,, awsome. does n e body know if there is n e more vehicles in this demo cuz all i can find to drive are 2 boats

The demo is a little buggy. Some of AI characters act strangely sometimes, but that's very rare.The AI isn't scripted, it's purely the computer who decides what to do and when, that opens the door to loads of bugs, but with a bit more polishing this game could end up as one of the best games ever.Oh and the 4 kilometers of terrain in a single map thing owns.
