EA has released the highly anticipated demo for BattleField 2142. The filesize of 1.1 GB makes this a daunting download but the reputation of the franchise is worth the effort.

The year is 2142, and the dawn of a new Ice age has thrown the world into a panic. The math is simple and brutal: The soil not covered by ice can only feed a fraction of the Earth's population. Some will live, most will die. In Battlefield 2142, players will choose to fight for one of two military superpowers in an epic battle for survival, the European Union or the newly formed Pan Asian Coalition. Armed with a devastating arsenal of hi-tech assault rifles, cloaking devices and sentry guns, players will also do battle using some of the most imposing vehicles known to man. Massive battle Mechs wage fierce combat on the ground, while futuristic aircraft rule the skies. When facing one of these new behemoths, players will need to use their wits and an arsenal of new countermeasures like EMP grenades to level the playing field.

f**k this 2nd rate game. Ooo we added more veihicals and changed the setting... oh wait that was the move from battlefeild 1942 to battlefeild 2.. so realy this is another mod to the 1942 engine right? awsome. maybe it will have shinyer graphics and better sprites.

yeah....more bland, hallow gameplay and vehicle "dynamics" like, no difference in damage if you hit a seemingly more vulnerable area on a tank over a less vulnerable area. Sorry, I don't want to keep playing rehashed BF1942 for the 3rd time (not to mention the expansion packs) coupled with a horribly inefficient game engine.

Another joke product from EA. DICE is good, after all they created our beloved BF1942, but since then they have been under EA's thumb. EA doesn't care about creating the best game ever, they are just greedy, rush the job assholes who ruined DICE's Battlefield series. Bravo!Bah! I will not be buying this garbage nor will I waste my time or bandwidth pirating it.

REVIEW: ok i downloaded the game via EA downloader and even though it said it got a error about 50 times i continued downloading and it worked :Dthe game is good nice feel but its practically a mod for BF2 so don't expect to see a new enginethe game itself is now revamped to look like a cold skyfi game all units plus soldiers have a HUD similar to the jets in BF2 soldiers are now only 4 instead of 5 classes but you can modify their equipmentand so on they restricted the secondary in most of the heavy vehicles so that the gunner has more power wich is nice i cant make a full review here so il give my opinion of the demo 'its ok' try before you buy !!!

Played it and very boring. Same old same old plus the graphics are boring too. You guys should check out Armed Assault which is for the real hardcore gamers. Not just cheap thrills from this load of crap

i have reason to believe that this game was made with free yes i said free game making software, you can download ,i have been doing studies of these types of postmeter rites to software that has been brought in under the table for years, so all you fools will believe that today is indeed your day for an original game...

If thats true then you need a kick in the balls for programming a stutter ing cvnt of an engine that sees the player stumbling and stuttering over kerb high objects like a pensioner in a zimmer frame.
