The player assumes the role of Parker, a worker toiling in mines run by the Ultor Corporation far beneath the surface of Mars. The miners are suffering from inhuman living conditions and a strange, deadly disease called the Plague that is suddenly sweeping through their ranks. The miners' anger and resentment are ready to boil over, and the player provides the spark that starts a rebellion against Ultor. The player's goal is to stay alive long enough to bring down Ultor and solve the mystery of the Plague. This journey takes him from gritty subterranean mines to Ultor's pristine science and nanotech labs to the surface of Mars and even onto satellites orbiting high above the planet.

I think he really means that his graphics card sucks. The game looks pretty cool, particle animation! (wooooooo) And we all know the reason why 3DFX went bust.......the Voodoo 3 bites.

some people jsut don't know..... The game wa intended for PC only a couple years ago... then PS2 was announced and the started to concentrate on the PS2 version.... Oh, and the reason it may look bad to you MasterE is that the game engine originally slowed the hell out of the PS2 so they had th tweak it.... In the way the took away high resolution textures :( Damn it, why didn't they just Finish the PC version first and then Port it to PS2? And last yes, Voodoo 3 blows goat. And yes, Max Payne kicks serious ass.

Graphics are bland and unimpressive.By comparision, Unreal Tournament looks realistic.Max Payne is crap.3DFX cards a solid & reliable. When I had one, I never had any trouble, unlike nVidia.3DFX Drivers worked with just about everything, whereas I have to update my frikin nVidia ones everytime a new game comes out.In short, 3DFX Good. nVida over-rated wank-stain on the pants of ppl who got nothing better to do than squeeze an extra 2 FPS from their machine.

this game rocks...the reason they deladed the release for PC is because they were working on making the graphics great..And Max payne is really a great game..Iskai is just stupid..and i have a TNT2 32m card and it works great...i just dowloaded one driver and that works for all my games so Iskai is once again a loser

Finaly finished downloading the demo...IT ROCKS!!!! GEO-MOD has to be the coolest thing in FPS since...sliced bread?...Half-life? who knows?...the first time I have been amased by a game since HL. Im knocking Max, but it is a TPS, not a FPS and I wouldnt want bullet time in an FPS, despite it being unutterably cool. Oh and the voodoo 2 was good (SLI...will we ever see it again?) but them 3DFX lost the plot. every review of voodoo 4+ against geforce 2+ said the VD4 was slow and over-dependant on the CPU (hardware T&L anyone?)one more thing DOWNLOAD THIS DEMO!!!! then BUY THIS GAME!!!!! no i dont work for volotion.

Unreal Tournament looks mighty shit, in fact the graphics are total shit. You must have a pants system if u think Red Faction is not at least 10x better.

This game rules, get the demo from [url removed] instead because the link actually works. I recommend using GoZilla and backing up the .PART file incase you can't resume.Anyway this game rules and the download was worth it, I'm on a 56K. The graphics are sharp and smooth and the new engine is fantastic. I'm using a 64MB GeForce 2 Pro. I only wished that there was a few more levels on the demo.By the way, the game was made the the PC first and then announced for the Playstation 2 but the Playstation 2 version was released first.

This is going to take me 10 hours to download stop your winching.Whats the recommended spec, I only have p2 333, voodoo 3 3000, the graphix card should take care of the graphix but if there is alot happening at once the game will slow to a halt.Why do you all knock the ps2, all consoles suck. Pc's are 5 times the power if you invest enough. Only adv consoles have is bigger tv's and split screen.

OMG this is taking forever to dl! 1h30!!! shit its so damn slow...I have cable...anyway I saw it at my friend's house and it rocks!!! great game to dl its not a waste of time all dl it!
