nVidia has teamed up with Novalogic to debut the new multiplayer demo, plus a challenging single player demo for Delta Force: Black Hawk Down. The multiplayer demo features Team Capture The Flag gameplay along a river. In the single player mission you must locate and secure hostages while fighting a hostile militia. Optimized for NVIDIA GPUs, Black Hawk Down harnesses the power of GeForce GPUs to intense render cityscape environments never before seen in a first-person shooter.

One word for this game: KICKASS!!!Single player demo is great,Multiplayer demo even better.Some of the best graphics I've ever seen in a game & realistic sound effects, outstanding gameplay!Don't believe me d/l & try it yourself. expect to be able to drive all the vehicles or units on the battle field myself. Even if I make a pigs ear of flying. I don’t want to just hide behind them, only be able to sit in them or just fire their fixed weapons. For an up to date war sim have a look at a great free mod for Battlefield 1942 called “DesertCombat” available on megagames. The film Black Hawk Down was like chewing gum for the brain, the book was much better; and this game has the over all feel of an old play station game that you might buy from the budget section of a game store.

Nah. Big thumbs down for this one. I’d say Delta Force has had its day Novalogic. Especially with half hearted efforts like this demo. The install was about the smoothest thing in the game. The graphics are poor by modern standards. The capture point “big glowing green thing” just looks totally out of place in a war game. Makes it look poor; and ruins realism. Maybe I have been spoilt since the days of Delta Force 1 & 2, through playing games like Operation Flashpoint and Battlefield 1942. But I nowContinued below

1st of all, dont talk little-miss logic, or the other pussies too scared to put a name next to their comments, this game is a good game, GFX are good, heck I'll bet u that half of u still play half-life or CS, and u want to talk about crappy gfx? Whatever, this game uses the commanche engine, a HEAVILY modified version at that, and for the most part it looks spectacular! I do have one complaint, and that is that the AI seems to be very dumb, even when compared to DFLW, I hope that that doesn't carry into the full version. 1 more thing in response to the question about the XBOX, I have heard that it is coming out ffor the XBOX, but I am not sure when.

I cannot believe people are saying this is a dumb setting. Well tell that to the poor bastards that got stranded in mogadishu.Watch the movie, or read the book, they are both a very accurate accound of what happend. (The movie IS accurate for a movie, most of the mojor details are there)Absolutely insane what our men had to go through, only a handfull of them against an entire city. and they came out victorious.

I'd say the proof is in the demo, shiel, no Mike or is it SweatyNutsack. Let’s just wait and see how far up the charts it goes. I suspect not very far. It's a poor effort of a game. Looks good, apart from the moronic tag points; and the fact that you are totally restricted to unusable fixed vehicles. All I am saying is that for the money your goanna bang this baby out at; you need to do more work. Take a look at Battlefield 1942 or operation Flashpoint. The American Army does it better than Novalogic. The book was awesome. Shame this lame ass project is trying to ride off those brave soldiers backs.

What a peice of crap!!!!!!!!!DFBHD Multiplayer Demo was awesome!!They shut it down, and made this peice of crap!! you get a knife and a pistol? Unless you install the "All weapons patch" Then you have to update the game? I cant see the buildings! Nvidia TNT2 64 meg video card. I will not buy the game. Was real Pi**ed when they shut down the first server.

Be as offensive as you can and defend this crock of S**T? Looks like the real gamers who post out of office in their own time think your game sucks. Graybeard, they shut it down co's they stopped making money from the sale of the game. I agree this and the new C**P P**s me off too. I think it's a good game, but can't you guys see a little bit further??? what the US did in Somalia is a testimony that you don't fight for your country, your flag, not even for the people back home. YOu fight for the man next to you. SO by all means, comment on the game, but NEVER, EVER COMMENT ON THE SOLDIERS WHO HAVE DIED, so you can make stupid comments on a game, a game whitch they have LIVED through for 3 days, you idiots.

[UBS] Sgt. Is it right then to trivialise their actions and bravery with a game, for fat ass civilian geeks to pretend their there? Is it not a little crass to market a game on the back of what happened to them? Hey while were happy with this why not make a cute little game about starving children to death in a third world first person game. We could call it “Starving Marvin”. Hey you could build on the theme and have civilians getting fatter the more Marvin’s you starve. It’s almost too realistic.

However, it does seem a bit of the same old thing and doesn’t impress as much as BF1942 or the free, cool, mod Desert Combat. Check it out[url removed] you guys. This sh1t is here thanks to the sponsoring of NVidia. NVidia indeed doesn't give a flying f**k about gameplay or everything related to gaming, they look to the sales. I bet the novalogic dudes were told one day: "hey, let be that shit you are making over there, checkout this money we envidia give you if you tweak your game to our latest chips hmmm? Just finish the game quick allright?"And then novalogic said: " SURE!"This game is only f**king good looking, since content really sucks goat's balls.

As a guy that plays all these different games (inc. 1942, Unreal and M.O.H) I can say without any prejudice that the Delta Force range of games have always had something, still do too. It has far more simple gameplay and often slower action-wise (not always a bad thing). Unfortunately it would seem not everyone likes that. I think 1942 and Flashpoint can get very complicated but they are classed as more of a simulator than arcade. B.H.D seems to address the balance well. I will be hoping for some level editors when it comes out and if its only half as bugged as Novalogics previous efforts we will be on to a good thing. Not everyone will like this game as is obvious by the comments, but it is a good game all the same and I will be getting a new PC just to run it well.
