I started readin this thread from the start cuz I figured such a topic would get lots of responses.Turns out 90% of the people on here dont have a bloody clue what theyre talkin about. Why post anything if you cant back it up with evidence? or links?I got links coming outta my ass with benchmark tests proving ATI cards are tuffer than NVidia cards. Which is WHY i bought my 9600pro.Sure ATI cards have some problems with newwer games, no card is perfect. But at least they address the issues. Right there is enough to earn my respect.And for all these people claiming their PCs with NVidia are runnig better than ATIs, chances are that the REST Of the pc is making the difference in performance.So why dont the bunch of you people go download a clue or somethin.

Jeez! Everybody is so gullible... (and since I'm grown up, I won't socialize the mud slinging BS here - bunch of children!) These are not beta drivers, they are the Call of Duty "hotfix" for the 3.9 catalyst drivers, and if they weren't "Deep Linked" to the original filenames, you would find the newer (dated 12/1/03, most drivers 11/14 & 11/15) hotfix in the same support article - they are under "7-96-012624e" (instead of 012324e)...Anyone that has seen the beta 3.10 drivers knows that there are major changes: two of which are the tray icon is now 3D - three faces of a cube with ATi branded on the lower right face, and there's a new tab that allows you to adjust the display 90/180/270 degrees for flat screen displays that you can tilt (as well as bindable hotkeys so you can toggle them easily).The real 3.10 drivers should be out in a few days (if not tomorrow) - these are *NOT* beta drives!Rat

Theses Beta drivers fixed the graphic issues I had with battlefield 1942 on windows 2000 (radeon 9800 pro)

Fabre - What graphics isues did you have with Bf1942? I sometimes get completly random slowdown when playing it and i have a 9800pro 256mb on a 3.3Ghz P4. Anyone think these new drivers might fix my completly unexplanitary, and random slowdown?

How would i go about overclocking my 9800pro 256mb? and what is the maximum overclock you would recomend?

I can't play Silent Hill 3 with ATI's Driver. My V-Card is radeon 9000. Why? Eventough I have updated the last driver.

Playing Call of duty requires ATI patch, FFXI requires ATI patch, Silent Hill 3 requires ATI patch & the list goes on.....if you want to waste money, buy ATI. Nvidia will have to release a New driver update with every DX9 game release for it to run properly. And that's IF the game developers CODE specifically for Nvidia hardware. Good luck..Take the gamble on a $500+ card that runs dx9 games shit.

What's funny about this loser matriXBOXsucks is he's not keeping up to date on Nvidia's drivers issues with DX9 games and IQ and cheationg over the last year and a half. Even with the release of the 52.16 drivers, they still run games slower then ATI hardware with lower IQ. Especally in Halo and Tomb Raider. Just have to read the recent interview with John Carmack about poor dx9 performance on Nvidia hardware and why he used a specific backend program to run DOOM3 on fx cards and not ATI. Nvidia cards run at lower FP and hav weaker AA. Just look at all the recent reviews around the web to verify this. matriXBOXsucks, you need to read and stop living in the past like the rest of you Fanboys....

my Asus Geforce fx 5900 ultra 256 is better then my friends ATI Radeon 9800 256 in almost all games specially with image quality, but what can i say Ati is speedy in some games but nVIDIA is better at others.......

My job is to bench mark cards for a gaming company, and out of all my marks (done with the same computer just changed the AGP card) ATI cards have stormed the lead. Most of the people here are retard. I DON'T WANT TO ADD IN MORE GAME PATCH THAN I SHOULD. ATI cause more problem than solving it. Every new released game requires some sort of ATI patch. If you tells me, I rather get a slow graphic card with less patch than a fast graphic card with alot of patch. Moron like you should look at long term effect rather than comparing the speed of the graphic card.

I have a 9500 pro modded to a 9700 pro. In CoD multiplayer i get perfect visuals. During singleplayer i get graphical artifacts. Anyone one whos not an NVidiot got an idea?
