3D Prophet II 64MB

Erm... am I the only one who is impressed? I hadnt even heard of DVI in 2000, I, and everyone I knew were using the latest in CRT and were still reeling from the awesome power of 24-bit true color.

wow.... i had a geforce2 in my motherboard at one time. DVI has been out for years. same with 2x/4x AGP. MUST be old news

lol, i remember when i had my voodoo 3 3000 :-) that beast had 16mb or mem!lol, i used to overclock it way over top specs. ended up smoking it, and my 4x agp port :-)

yeah it sucks that its so much but theres other solutions.. go to [url removed] and they have a leadtek winfast geforce 2 64 megabytes for $355 a much better price then the prophet 64 megger (DDR), anyway i bought it and this thing kicks ass in games like UT and Quake 3 the speed and graphics are the best I ever seen, and faster and much better graphics then my friends geforce prophet 256

This card is deffinitly not worth the fucking price I would much much rather spend 230 bucks (Canadian) for an ATI Rage Fury Maxx with 64 megs of ram and Dual Processors...

The card is a step in the right direction, even tho it costs a bundle...the two of you saying that voodoo5 6000 and rage fury maxx are better just because of ram amounts are idiots...dont you know each chip on both has 32 megs of ram? So that means that the gts 64 has all that ram for one chip, while the voodoo5 mirrors the same texture data four times for each chip...granted that the voodoo5 has a huge fill rate, but at 11M poly's, im not paying 600$ for that....go d/l DMZG at [url removed] and watch your v5-6000 suck ass....

mmmmm..........I will wait till October when the rest of the competition release their cards like Matrox. A good kick ass card for the moment but big bucks is Gloria 2 from ELSA 64-MB unified memory 350-MHz RAMDAC Quadro OpenGL GPU. [url removed] OOooopsss was that a flash from the future.

Well I need to upgrade in about 4 months and this card is at the top of my list, hopefully by then the price in Canada will be reasonable. Right now I am running a rage fury, so I neeeeeeddd more power.

I think I will wait until the VooDoo 5 6000 comes out because it is the fastest and the best... The reason it has an extra power supply is so that it drains less energy on the motherboard.

The new Voodoo card is going to suck. Don't waste your money on crap 3dfx cards because they suck. All speed, no graphics and plus no one uses Glide anymore. GeForce2 is the way to go.

You people don't understand that ram is only good for loading the graphics data into it is the GPU that metters and the Vood chip is only 128 bit whereas the geForce is 256!!!!!!!!

i new geforce would fetch out a new card to compete with voodoo's new one. And this card totally wipe's out the voodoo 5500. Voodoo really need to do something about this.
