If you still need more reasons to be disappointed at Diablo III, here it is: it seems that the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions of the game won’t require a persistent internet connection like its PC and Mac counterparts.
It seems John Hight’s tongue slipped while discussing Diablo III co-op gameplay during an interview with GameTrailers.
"You can have four people on the same screen - no split-screen, we just zoom the camera out. Or if you're offline," he said.
Diablo III has been confirmed for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 release, but no launch window is specified yet.
