Sony: PlayStation 4 Too Supports Cloud Computing

Microsoft is touting Cloud Computing as one of Xbox One’s main advantages over PlayStation 4, but Sony's president of worldwide studios, Shuhei Yoshida, clarified that PS4 game developers are given that option too.

Speaking to Polygon, Yoshida explained his belief that relying on cloud computing is discouraged due to bandwidth and latency issues, however Sony is leaving that decision entirely to developers.

"Linking, matchmaking...there are already many computations being done on the cloud side," he said. "We don't believe every title needs that, but if your title needs online connection to provide some online features: Go for it."

"relying on cloud computing

"relying on cloud computing is discouraged due to bandwidth and latency issues" At least they said something about it. Still making it better than xbox, but still thinking it won't be used much because of the whole bandwidth thing like we said with xbox. Thinking it is not really needed, cool and all but I'm guessing people care more about other things.
