Ubisoft Is Working On Three Different Assassin’s Creed Games

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot revealed that three different Assassin’s Creed games are currently in development but promised that each of them has its own gameplay and innovations.

Much like Activision’s flagship Call of Duty, Ubisoft is having two or three independent teams work in parallel for 2 or 3 years each and release their games in a staggered manner.

"We are making sure the teams who are creating the different iterations have enough time - two years, three years, so that they can take risk and they can change the concept enough so that it can be appealing and fresh," Guillemot assured.

"Really, what we see is that we can have the capacity to regularly come with innovation," he added. "That is, for me, the formula: if you can really change the game on a regular basis and bring in innovation your fans want a product very regularly. Our job is to make sure the teams have enough power, enough energy and enough time to take the necessary steps to create a high quality game."

Guillemot was careful not to reveal any details about the games that are still to be announced; nonetheless, the first of the trio, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag is scheduled for release on October 29th, 2013 in the US and November 1st, 2013 in the UK.

I liked the first Assassins

I liked the first Assassins Creed game, and i loved Assassins Creed 2, Brotherhood and Revelations. I thought that after AC:R i wasn´t gonna buy anyother AC game. But when the trailers for AC:3 came out i was excited to buy it becouse of the new open world with the forest and different cities and the new combat system, i wasn´t really interested for the story. But now when Black Flag and maybe 3 other games comes out there REALLY have to be something extra in them for me to buy them. Or i maybe go back and play the good old AC,AC2,BH and Revelations.

New IP

Boring, same old same old. Activision, EA and now we have Ubisoft.... Let make another game, Assassins Creed Deja-Vu or Assassins Creed Eat my *** out with a spoon Ltd Edition with a hairy spoon covered in doo doo.

3 games ????

if their focusing on 3 games they can miss up on alot of things in the 3 games and will have alot of bugs Ubisoft ... this is not reccomended :D

it is not a good idea

First AC was amazing and innovative, second one was very nice also good music, but third was not satisfying because I was tired doing same things before and very repeating gameplay, Hope that they work on a better and more realistic work on AC .

How come so many people are

How come so many people are saying the first one was amazing and the 3rd wasnt? AC3 is the most amazing one out of all of them, it had a huge world, amazing graphics and was the most innovative. The ship battles were the best thing about the game and was something that no one else had ever done before - that is innovation for ya. The ability to jump through the trees along with the variety of animals were also good additions. Ok, the storyline was a bit crap but who the hell plays games just for the story?

History So Far...

i played AC series and somehow along the way... meaning of the word "Assassin" has been..well.. Blurred to say at least... i played em and my reaction has been so far: Assassin`s Greed: "GAH!..i can play as sneaky assassin!.." Assassin`s Greed II: "sneaky sneaky stabby stabby" Everything else after that: "yeah more as..wait im a..wait what...no..NO..i want to be assassin not a some random native american!" game (my opinion ofcourse) has lost the meaning "assassin" and you can really replace that word with "Historic" so realistic name for this series would be "Historic Greed"

I believe the same. They

I believe the same. They think most people will shell out 60$ every year for an assassin's creed game. This year will be at least the 6th AC game, so next year the 7th and in only two years the 8th!!! Ok need for speed and madden got a rival now.
