Banned Xbox Live Gamers Won’t Lose Access To Xbox One Offline Play

Microsoft has already confirmed that Xbox One owners won’t be able to play their single player games unless the console is allowed to phone home daily, but what if your Xbox Live account got banned? Would you lose access to all your games?

"Absolutely not – you will always have access to the games you've purchased," said Larry Hryb, Microsoft's director of Xbox Live programming. "Absolutely not."

But, what happens when Xbox One reaches the end of its lifetime and Microsoft turns off its servers? Larry was not as conclusive in his answer as he asked fans to trust Microsoft not to do so.

"I'll just say this: We haven't even started this generation, so it's kind of early to talk about the end of the generation," he said. "That's certainly not something we would do – that's not the way the system is designed. It's designed for flexibility. But let's get the system out there first."

What the chuff??

Surely everyone has missed the point of gaming. Escapism whether 5 minutes or 5 hours. ESCAPISM.......Away from social life, away from problems and stress relief. So Come home, stressful day, go to play your fifa or call of duty and the machine says there is an update or sorry server down at this time. HOW IS THIS GAMING AND ESCAPISM??? Fed up with companies getting rich from an industry which created them because of its fans. Its companies trying to make the industry theirs. Gaming should be for us all, not for Microsoft, ubisoft, EA or Sony. I Will NOT be buying this Microsoft console. WELL DONE MEN IN SUITS YOU COMPLETE ARSEHOLES!!!!

I prefer concrete answers

Well, I won't buy something that can be just switch off whenever the mood strikes, or whenever M$ decide it's time for me to buy the next version of their toy, I mainly game on PC but have always owned a console or two, this gen if I buy one it's looking likely to be a $ony.

Not impressed

The more i hear about this console the less impressed I become with Microsoft this time around, Are they simply trying to push customers towards the PS4 because I think I can safely say 'Mission Completed' if that is the case.

ha

Funny how they are already talking about banning and end of life for something that isn't even available yet.

Retard

Funny how they just replied on a question given to them and not started talking about it themselves. Your argument is invalid.
