Bethesda: Don’t Expect Any Fallout News So Soon

A lot of Fallout fans have bought into the rumors that the next Fallout game was demoed secretly behind doors during E3 2013. Unfortunately, those rumors aren’t true.

"What people need to understand -- whether it is Bethesda Game Studios, Arkane or anybody -- expecting information like that in any short period of time after they moved off one project to the other is really unrealistic," noted Bethesda VP of PR and marketing Pete Hines.

"We are not into annual franchises -- just trying to spin out a version of our game year, after year, after year -- like, we have never done that, I don't see that it is something that we are doing anytime soon," said Hines. "But that doesn't mean that we are going to take our time and wait six or seven years in between a game that a studio puts out. But these are big games that take a long time and folks need to understand that we have a very certain way of going about things."

The bugs and glitches are

The bugs and glitches are inevitable when you make a game that big, that's why there's a save anywhere function. The game should come with a Warning, something like "save smart" lol. But auto-save is there for a reason. I mean it takes a world release and months on complaints to find and fix most the bugs, you cant really do that with a small team.

I think they probably learned

I think they probably learned their lessons with the engine in Oblivion and Fallout 3. It was, quite simply, full of bugs and need a serious overhaul. The engine from Skyrim, while advanced and pretty, probably needs a few more kinks worked out before they start throwing laser rifles and plasma grenades into it. It may not seem like it but anyone that made a mod for Skyrim found at least a couple things that could have been tweaked to be better. But who cares, people will still bitch and moan that games don't come out fast enough, till eventually we get stuck with another Knights of the Old Republic 2. Seriously, go google that and marvel at the missing dialogue and parts of the story line that were obviously skipped so they could ship the game.

Kill kids.

Anyone that plays any game could easily find loads of shit that they think would make it better. In all of Bethesda's games, I shouldn't have to seek out a mod to kill a mouthy kid, or a nice one if I fancy. They also need better animators & vehicles in their games.
