Petition Asks Microsoft To Reenlist Xbox One Always-Online DRM

A petition on Change.org is asking Microsoft to return Xbox One’s always-online DRM

Microsoft had received a lot of heat when it announced that Xbox One must phone home at least once daily or it would stop running games. Public outrage was so evident, Microsoft had to scrap that requirement completely. But the petitioners believe that Microsoft has ruined the console by listening to “uninformed consumers.”

“This was to be the future of entertainment,” the petition reads. “A new wave of gaming where you could buy games digitally, then trade, share or sell those digital licenses. Essentially, it was Steam for Xbox. But consumers were uninformed, and railed against it, and it was taken away because Sony took advantage of consumers uncertainty.”

“We want this back. It can't be all or nothing, there must be a compromise.”

The petition has already reached its goal of 10,000 signatures.

You generalize something and

You generalize something and post it, then you want to say "thats not what I meant, I just didn't write it all". There are those who say "If you're going to do something, do it right." and they're quite right. Don't blame someone for failing to read your mind, blame yourself for not exposing your ideas properly.

Considered

Fair enough. I'm just baffled why ones intelligence should be taken into account when expressing ideologies that doesn't reflect another's views, unless you go against something that is proven. But even if I did expose my ideas to the best of my knowledge I would/could still be held accountable for being or considered an idiot simply by not sharing someone else's world views. You do see the paradox here?

My motto: Treat others as you would like to be treated.

Agreed, peoples Paradigm's are almost unbearable, the Society's are unsustainable, and the Cultural Operating System reminds me of Dos running on an I7. The collapse will be a marvel :-) Until then trying to live healthy is like running with the bulls.
