Watch Dogs PC system specs released

Watchdogs

While the world and his dog have been wowed by GTA V for the past couple of weeks, Watch Dogs is the game that has had a lot of people excited for a little longer. Being one of the first next-gen games to be debuted earlier this year, it was bound to get a lot of attention and part of that attention was on its visuals. There's lots of NPC civilians walking about in this game and the streets are intricately detailed. Next-gen consoles shouldn't have a problem, but will our gaming PCs?

Fortunately we can now put our rigs through a theoretical benchmark, with the minimum and recommended specifications:

Minimum

CPU: Quad core
RAM: 4GB
GPU: DirectX 11 graphics card with 1 GB Video RAM

Example 1

CPU: Intel Core2 Quad Q6600
GPU: NVidia GTX 460

Example 2

CPU: AMD Phenom X4 9750
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 5770

Recommended

CPU: Eight core
GPU: DirectX 11 graphics card with 2 GB Video RAM
RAM: 8GB

Example 1

CPU: Intel Core i7-3770
GPU: NVidia GTX 560 ti

Example 2

CPU: AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7850

If you're feeling like this is all child's play however, then maybe your PC is up to the Ultra standards?

Ultra>

CPU: Latest Eight core or more
GPU: Latest DirectX 11 graphics card with 2 GB Video RAM or more
RAM: 8GB or more

Example 1

CPU: Intel Core i7-3930K
GPU: Nvidia GTX 670

Example 2

CPU: AMD FX-9370 Eight-Core
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7970

One interesting thing to note from this whole thing, is that even the minimum specs demand at least 4GB of RAM, so you better hope you're running a 64bit operating system, otherwise there's no way tour system detected 3.2GB is going to cut it.

Where abouts in this list does your rig fall? Mine... probably somewhere around recommended.

8 cores was for amd if you

8 cores was for amd if you look and for intel it was 6 cores , but personally i think it will run piss on and average system , if this game cant run on a top end pc, then its as said badly programmed, my specs are gtx titan 6 gb gddr5 , 32gb ddr3 1600mhz , quad core 3770 3.6ghz and 2 ssd's ocz3 240gb with benq 120hz 3d monitor, then iam not wasting my time the game, it ll be an average game at most, it was said crysis 3 was going to demand super pc's but it ran well on avg pc's no problem, bad sources i'd say , u'll find that the game specs released offically will be alot more resonable.

Really? you bought a Titan

Really? you bought a Titan for a Single Monitor?, 6GB of memory and that thing isn't even running 2560x1440, to top that off you have a 3770 non K clocked at 3.6ghz with 2 of the most unreliable SSD's, you sir are a common example of a person who has done 0 research and purchased things based on marketing, also try upping the settings on crysis 3 you'll see ur system struggle at below 20fps...

8 Cores huh? Very interesting

8 Cores huh? Very interesting. I didn't even think these things were on the market yet. I looked it up though, funny thing, for 200 bucks you can get a CPU more than TWICE as fast as the Xbox One. I was going to get an xbox one. But since my computer already has more ram and a better gfx card.. for a little less than an xbox one I could get a 8 core CPU and motherboard and totally annihilate the X1... so that sounds like a better direction.

its fake

this info came from a forum from an unknown source look at the examples for minimum Q6600+460 is a different league of performance vs the 2nd example of a phenom 9750 +5770. Heck the gpu's alone are 20-50% difference. from e3 the rumors from requirements were a good dual core with 2gb of ram and geforce 8, recommended was rumored to be a quad core 4gb of ram and a GTX 500's or AMD 6000's I should remind you folks that this game is also in the 360 and PS3 the requirements will be no where near that high for minimums
