Sony Admits 1% Of PlayStation 4 Units Sold Suffer From BLOD

Sony acknowledged PlayStation 4 Blue Light of Death (BLOD) problem, but maintained a position that it affects less than 1% of units that were damaged during shipping.

Other than an increasing number of user complaints for receiving bricked consoles, PlayStation 4's launch has been a huge success with more than 1 million units sold during its first day in market.

“There have been several issues reported, which leads us to believe there isn’t a singular problem that could impact a broader percentage of PS4 units,” said Satoshi Nakajima, a Tokyo- based Sony spokesman. “We also understand that some units were reportedly damaged during shipping.”

Nakajima claimed that the failure rate of shipped PlayStation 4 consoles is less than 1%. The spokesperson then admitted that the company is blaming shipping for the problem as they failed to identify any other reason. "There have been several issues reported, which leads us to believe there isn't a singular problem that could impact a broader percentage of PS4 units," he said.

Only 1%? Yeah that's only 10,000 fucked over customers in 24 hours. Oh well, even if they worked as intended you're all still fucked over anyway, whether you realize it or not.

Okay now.....

So they aren't acknowledges the disgruntled foxconn workers? Guess I wouldn't either if in their shoes or foxconn's Curious as to hired the worst labor firm. Is funny how on so many sites xbox fanboi's start trolling about the less than one percent of ruined ps4s When xbox 360's first year failure rate was over 50 percent. Can't remember the number exactly but I think it was somewhere like 54 to 56 percent, with playstation 3 being around 14 percent and nintendo Wii being the only one under 10 percent.

You sure?

So far it is less than 1% according to Sony? What if it increases with time? What if it is more than 1%? We will not know. However, let's assume it is 1%. It would not surprise me if first 6 month sales are 10 million units, which then it will be 100,000 consoles busted. And for the first six months, I do not see supply exceeding demand. Which means that Sony will only 'repair' those busted consoles instead of replacing them with new ones. So there are lot of of 'ifs,' but in the end, 1% is bad, this is almost 2014 and they can't make a solid six sigma console.
