After finding the Holy Grail you may have thought that Indiana Jones had done all there is to do. Well no such luck. Probably in pursuit of the Even Holier Grail or some other artifact Indy is bound to return to the screen by 2005.
George Lucas, Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford are attempting to make the big move. Negotiations have started with M. Night Shyamalan who wrote the script for the Sixth Sense and won an Oscar for it. Such a move can only mean that the next Indiana Jones installment might begin filming by 2002.
So will we worry about Indy all through the movie just to find out he is dead? Or will he have a kid sidekick who can directly ask King Solomon for directions to the temple?
One thing is certain, if Shyamalan got 10 million US$ for the sequel to Sixth Sense he will get much more for his upcoming project.

Indiana Jones movies were pretty fun to watch. Harrison was young back then. i think that he is just to old to play in this movie.

The Indiana Jones movies were good for the fact that they brought back the old hollywood adventure to the rather bleak era of the 80s and early 90s. Sadly it just didnt hold out well and now after several long years their trying to bring it back again. Sadly the era of mysterious artifacts is fading fast with science replacing mystery. The only way to return indy would be to start back in jones earlier days only unlike the series, try to make the stories more intresting. Sadly passing the torch would only lead to a young star replaceing an allready good icon actor. Whats worse is that as time passes old subjects will come up since the new indy cant battle nazis forever and who better a villain than the communists but thats still a touchy subject and we allready have enough problems with minorities so maybe that could get a little testy. Also the artifacts are getting limmited. There are allready plenty of wannabes out there ready to fill the shoes of harrison but sadly none of them will never be that good so it seems appropriate that the next movie be truly the very last movie. Maybe he should find the garden of eden or something but as far as extending it, i think that might be a bad idea.

Hey if sean connery could keep up with Indy in the third film at his age, harrison ford can still play Indy, harrison ford is still in very good shape and a little make up could take years off him.Im more worried about the film makers making a mess of Indies final film.

Demon here, I personaly think that this could be the best Indiana movie, Harrison Ford is not to hold, Sean Connery is an older guy and he did Entrapment, I think this one could be about them in our time since they would still be around since they drank from the Holy Grail of Jesus. About bloody time. It may be old news (i've been reading the rumors for about a year now) but i'm totally stoked for this film.Indiana Jones is STILL one of the best movie series out there. Despite his age, Ford will still be the ONLY man for the job. there isnt anyone in the world that could do a better job. I just hope they dont make a mockery of it like they do to other series.

Just because he did some movies in the 70s and 80s doesnt make him a fossile now.Jeez, Schwarzenegger started in the early 80s/late 70s too, and look what movie is comin out on July 2nd..The age wont be an issue in this movie, not at all. The only problem will be the script and the plot. All three indy movies had plots that were very unique, but the movies still kept the similarities which made it feel like an Indy movie. My only worry is that this new movie will lose sight of the "B grade" movie aura that the original movies held.(After all, they WERE meant to be 'B' movies, and Tom Sellack was the first choice to play Indy, I believe)

WOOOOOOOOO!!!!! INDY!!! I love Indy! The films rock and the games are none too bad either. Cant wait for it, but i seriously hope they dont make it 99.9999999% digital effects like the new Star Wars films. If they do that it will prove that they have lost the talent to make quality films - I mean, in the first Indy Trilogy there was no CG effects and it was perfectly realistic as everything...well...looked...and i guess WAS real!! The special effects in the originals rocked, if they stick to tradition instead of completely digital everything then they could be onto yet another brilliant film
