The latest release for Desert Combat is here. 0.39k is a large patch, which brings the DC mod up to speed with the recent Secret Weapons Expansion Pack, ensuring full compatability for Battlefield 1942 1.45.

This release fixes many of the recent bugs and exploits, the Blackhawk-lag bug being one such example. There are many updates to the models and skins for weapons and vehicles also, the Mig29 and F-15 featuring most prominantly.

Here are some of the more notable improvements, straight from the changelog.

New Guided Cruise Missle
M203 and GP30 grenade launchers have been toned down
New Map, Oil Fields feature lots of new static and animated objects
New shorter radio voice sounds
Stinger has very little effect on soldiers

when do the amateurs learn not to use so many polygons on the models.it so laggy even if i open my own game without any players inside.just because they have a 3 ghz machine it does not mean that anyone else does. damn the modders are so stupid.

poo they do this mods for free, we can be happy someone does this! so, make ur own mod if u think u can do better... thx to the developers for this great mod! and the moddels look really nice!ps: i have 2,6 ghz and this rocks too ^^

problem with this mod, its getting too big in megabytes, just the 0.39 patch is over 100megs and the you must download the over 300megs of version 0.37 plus the patch will make it over 400megs because there is no 0.39 full install yet. soon, it will be too big, even for broadband users such as myself. And there not really fixing any bugs either, they are just replacing models and adding new stuff which are useless. The other problem is that its U.S.A. vs Iraq, we all know U.S.A. has better stuff then Iraq, so its even quite easy to win even if you have newbs on U.S.A.. I even hear veteran players of DC that U.S.A. vs Iraq theme is getting boring because it's too limited for Iraqi military equipment but the U.S.A. equipment has loads of things that can be added and it will be endless.
