This is the single player demo for Black Hawk Down.
Black Hawk Down is the title that replays the events of Somalia in 1993. In this demo, you can play through a mission of hostage rescue through the dangerous streets of Somalia.

The only reason there are a lot of games about Americans fighting wars is because every other nation sits on their asses and waits for American so solve the problem. Negotiations only go so far. It seems it always takes America to keep these little rogue countries in check. Besides, Europe has killed enough civilians in the past century. We still have a lot of catching up to do before we can be criticized for killing a civilian with a rifle aimed at one of our soldiers.

Ok, here it is straight. mob mentality, ahbib did not have popular support, the sun is hot and you have white men running in your country where you have never seen a color other than black. you have access to automatic weapons because of the market. Steele hesitated in ordering his men to ice civvies until they presented a threat (josh hartnett). Yes innocents got hurt, By all acounts it was a victory but their is no glory in war. it was serious FUBAR on intelligence for not being more accurate on numbers, it was the troops fault for not being totally prepared for everything that combat might entail. ( leaving behind NODs and other non SOP daylight mission gear)the delta medics ditching their trauma chests (medical crash bags) at their hanger. and several other things. but Anti-American liberals AND conservatives need to shut their mouths, one thing MARX was right about is "struggle of class will cause confliict" so if you don't put people down more bloodshed occurs until the world is broken into several thousand small factions.

I dont think that USA usually sort out problems, rather than have a hand in the cause of a lot of problems i.e. 9/11America originally armed and trained a lot of Al Quida terrorists when they were being invaded years ago, and now those resources are biting us all in the ass. If USA actually stoped acting like some kind of self important school yard bully, there might be a touch less conflict happening in the world right now...

yeah, i mean how the f**k US screwed up relations with vietnam AND Al quida AFTER they helped them to achieve independence. originally they were both friendly and liked the US(so did iraq), then somewhere US policies screwed up and turned them into enemies. now half the middle east really don't like the US and the two largest countries over there are part of the "axis of evil"

Actually, the only place the US screwed up with Vietnam is by not supporting Ho Chi Mihn at his first plea for help. When we wouldn't help (because we didn't want to piss off France, as if we had to worry about them) he turned to Communist China and Russia for help. He, at first, wasn't Communist, but after only getting help from Communist countries, I suppose that kind of persuaded him. So therefore, like Animal Mother said, we were shooting the wrong umm...Vietnamese. I'm not going to say the er.."g" word in case it offends anyone. I can't remember anything about the US having relations with Al Queda except all the terrorist attempts. I may be wrong, but I think Al-Queda was started in hatred for America, so I don't think there'd be a time of peace between us or them. Yeah we helped Iraq out, but we just did a crappy job of picking a leader. I'm not really sure of how we helped 9/11 happen. Do you mean because we supplied the planes? The truth is, if America doesn't do anything, no one will. It takes months or years of persuading to get the rest of NATO off their lazy cans and actually do something about a problem. I garauntee you that if any of your countries were attacked, you'd whine and cry until the US came over and helped you out. Then, when we left, you'd probably just start the anti-Americanism. Speaking of which, how many anti-British or anti-Germans or anything like that are running around? What have you to worry about then? Just us Americans and Israelis have to worry about getting killed if we so desire to travel somewhere. Ok I'm going to stop. I'm just saying, last time we did nothing about an impending threat, the Japanese flew a sh*t-load of planes into one of our harbors and killed a lot of people, innocent and all. So, even when we don't get into things, we still get attacked. So, get off your pansy *sses and do something besides look for reasons to criticize the US.

Ok, let me start by saying my comments are my opinion.The internet for most is not cheap. After having waited 6 hours or more for this POS 100+ meg game to download, I was greeted with a mission, that was not playable.The code for this game is atrocious.I wouldn’t buy it based on this one reason.This game is so ridiculously unplayable, even you guys on your 3GHz P4’s w/ATI 9700’s would be complaining.I have a modest computer, which is enough to play Battlefield, UT, all the games in reasonable quality. Even with this game on the lowest possible settings, it still chunks like a POS.If you love waiting for hours on end, to download, slow rather crappy looking games, with no skill put into modelling or weapons, terrain, etc (don’t forget this a free demo, not an EXPENSIVE $$$ retail version) then I say, download this game and enjoy frustration.I wouldn’t usually bag a game, especially a demo. Hell I had a better time with the short demo of splinter cell.This game is nothing new, just recycled crap that could be something, it they tried.Again, this is a poor quality game, not for those with 1.5Ghz or less. If you can’t play a game on 800x600, it’s not worth it.MHO
