Heroes of the Pacific begins with the attack on Pearl Harbor and lets the player participate in some of the most memorable battles of the Pacific campaign, including Wake Island, Midway, and Coral Sea.

For the first time players will experience the epic scope of the battles, placing hundreds of planes on the screen in a single confrontation.

Six game modes, over thirty-five WWII aircraft, compelling story through the war, arcade and professional controls, workshop to customise your plane's weapon loadout and plane setup plus much much more ...

contains detailed technical information so please read it through

II. Installation

Run 'setup.exe'.
You will then be asked to enter the directory you wish to install the game to.
After this the game will install to the chosen directory.  Please follow all
on screen prompts to complete installation.

III. Running the Game

After you install the Heroes of the Pacific demo there will be a Heroes of the
Pacific demo shortcut on your desktop. Double-click this to start the game.
Alternatively you can start the game by going to:
Start Menu -> Programs -> Codemasters -> Heroes of the Pacific demo -> Heroes
of the Pacific demo.

V. Memory and Performance

Heroes of the Pacific demo requires at least 256MB of RAM and a 1.4Ghz processor;
the performance of the game will improve if you have more RAM, a faster
processor and graphics card.   Regardless of your machine specs, you can
maximise your available memory and increase the overall performance of the
game by doing the following:
	 Shut down all non-essential Windows programs especially online
	  chat programs, virus checkers and screen layout utilities.
	 Regularly defragment your hard drive.
	 Increase your amount of free hard drive space

VI. Graphics and Sound cards

GRAPHICS CARDS
The Heroes of the Pacific demo requires a graphics card with 3D hardware
acceleration and at least 64 MB of RAM. The drivers for your graphics card
must support DirectX 9.0c or higher.  If you are having any problems running
the game, please ensure you have updated your graphics card drivers before
contacting technical support.
SOUND CARDS
If you are experiencing sound abnormalities such as clicking and popping,
you may need to turn off sound hardware acceleration.  Go to Start, Control
Panel, Sound, then find the sound/audio hardware acceleration setting and
turn it off.
Occasionally, some users may experience poor audio quality when using an
onboard nForce sound card in conjunction with certain graphics cards.
Please update your nForce drivers and if the problem persists, switch over
to the on-board graphics card.

VII. Known Issues
--------------------------------------------
	1. The stability and graphics of the demo may be affected by using
	   the Alt-Tab feature of Windows.  We recommend that users do not
	   alt tab whilst running the Heroes of the Pacific demo.
	2. This demo is based upon code that is still being optimised.  The
	   minimum specification of the demo is higher than the anticipated
	   minimum specification of the full game.
	3. Playback of the splash videos in full screen mode is slow when
	   using an ATi Graphics card, this will be address for the final
	   version of the game.
	4. Users with GeForce 3 and 4 cards may experience graphical
	   corruption in the sky when playing the "Final Revenge" mission.
