Our story begins a few years after the conclusion of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time™. The Prince has returned home to Babylon, to find himself hunted by a supernatural creature bent on his destruction. Forced to live a life on the run, he seeks counsel from an old mystic, who explains that his actions have spawned an immortal incarnation of Fate, known as the Dahaka. In his quest to save the Sultan's palace from destruction, the Prince created a rift in the Timeline.

Hunted by the Dahaka, the Prince embarks upon a path of both carnage and mystery to defy his preordained death. He quickly comes to realize that there's only one possible way to stay alive: journey to the birthplace of the Sands of Time, find a way to travel back into the past, and stop the Sands from being created. Without the Sands, the Prince's last adventure will not occur - and the Dahaka will vanish. His journey leads him to the infernal core of a cursed island stronghold harboring mankind's greatest fears.

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within Demo

Anonymous: I realise that ive forgot to split some points there: What i was talking about are the per-pixel effects like normal mapping and glare. It IS a demo, but it shows the formula of the game, not much will change. It WILL be a fight-fight game. I dont know why are ppl complaining about the graphics? Maybe the goldish-yellowish color scheme was more pleasing to your eyes.. Now ive gotta say the SOUND system needs a LOT of work. Oh, and Godsmack rulez :)

To all who said, they dont like the music, GET OVER IT! They wanted to change the athmosphere (it´s a bit darker now and more blood^^) and the music fits good to the game, also there isnt just fighting, in later game there will be evil traps, but they DID focus more on fighting (there are more Moves in teh full version than in the demo).Concerning the graphics: well in times of FarCry Doom3 and (maybe soon) HL2 it just dosnßt fit it needs better textures and the Golem bug is realy damn annoying stuff like that isnt supposed to be in a Demo (if at all in a Beta Demo)

what's with this FUUUUUCCCCKKKKIIIINGGG Golem BUG!?!? Who the FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK releases a god-forsaken demo with a COLOSAL bug like this? If UbiSoft is trying to convince us to NOT by the game based on the demo, they sure are succeeding. (Not that I'd buy the game anyway. CLEARLY, i would just download it off my file sharing client like everything else... but still, it's a big disappointment).

Ok i realize i may have gone a bit overboard and to anywho may be offended I appologize. I do agree that the game still needs a lot of work. But seriously, thats why if you watch any of the game footage vids (check [url removed] it says "Work in Progress". Yes, the graphics still suck, and the fights still have some bugs, but they are running this off a modified POP:SoT engine, the graphics were pretty good in that game I think. I dont understand this "golem bug" that everyone is talking about. The gollem worked fine on my computer, sure he's easy as hell to kill, but he still tries to kill you. For all of you compliaining that the demo sucks b/c it isnt like SoT...SHUT UP!!!! This demo is supposed to show what is NEW and DIFFERENT from SoT. Many things will probably be similar. And to anonymous 10:9 20/10/2004, I dont buy every game a developer puts out just to try it. The only UbiSoft games i own are POP:SoT, Splinter Cell 1&2, and the Rainbow Six:Raven Shield. This game still needs work, but I think when all is said and done it's gonna kick ass.

Everything seems pretty good about this demo, but I just can't get over the crappy music... I know it's not a big part, but come on! "Darker" would have been nice, but they basically just erased the intriguing Mid-east culture from the game and replaced it with stock "killing lots of monsters" metal rock. I'm already far too sick of that.
