Renegade is a 3D action game set in the Command & Conquer universe. You can switch at any time while playing from 3rd to first person. The inspiration for the product was the Commando mission from the original Command & Conquer game. The story begins in the middle of the first C&C and explores the back story of C&C from Nick "Havoc" Parker, the commando's point of view. The end of Renegade is slightly after the end of the GDI missions and if you complete Renegade successfully the story fits right into Tiberian Sun.

Each mission has an objective, just like C&C.

For instance, Havoc may be taxed with locating the Temple of NOD and blacing a beacon for an Ion strike. How Havoc gets to the Temple and what types of vehicles, weapons and tactics he uses are completely up to the player, just like C&C. That is what seperates Renegade from so many FPS products. The missions are goal oriented and not means oriented.

There are many multiplayer modes supported, CTF, Death Match etc. and of course the best of all, a true C&C mode with NOD and GDI locked into a struggle that only the players will decide
