Electronic Arts has released a new video of Battlefield 2, showcasing the various vehicles and aircraft available to the player as well as the general lethal mayhem which ensues.

In Battlefield 2, players will choose to fight for one of three military superpowers: the United States, China, or the newly formed Middle East Coalition. Armed with the latest modern weaponry, players can take control of any of the game's 30+ vehicles to engage in major conflicts with over 100 players in some of the largest online battles on the PC.

Battlefield 2 features immense, richly detailed, destructible environments, from city streets to remote forests, in some of the most notorious hot spots around the world. Each map in Battlefield 2 adjusts in scale to support the number of players in the world, providing the ideal vehicle-to-player ratio and an optimized game play experience. Enhanced team play features allow players to enter the action on the front lines as part of a formal squad, or work behind the scenes in Commander Mode to direct the strategic assaults of their team mates. With in-game success, players increase their rank from recruit all the way to General and unlock awards, including new weapons, vehicle decals, medals, and more.

Additionally, Battlefield 2 showcases an all-new game engine and physics system to bring the modern battlefield to life like never before. The new material penetration feature measures weapons' ability to fire through barriers based on their composition and players will need to know the difference between concealment and cover in order to survive.

Battlefield 2 is being developed by the original Battlefield 1942 Sweden based developer, Digital Illusions. Electronic Arts will publish and distribute the game for the PC under the EA GAMES brand worldwide.

Battlefield 2

Anon at 16:32Are you on dope 10x? Xbox is barely 1/5 the PCs of today are by the time they catch up we will be miles ahead. If you want to save money go ahead just dont preach its better cause its not.

Battlefield 2

next gen consoles will have the graphics 10x better then doom3.oh ya, PC's are only good for FPS and RTS but suck at racing, fighting, puzzle, adventures, sports and what not. So are PC's really better in terms of games, not really.EA does know that console market is where the sales are at so expect a better upgrade of BF2 on next gen consoles.

Battlefield 2

i hear ya anonymous. When i hear stupid remarks like that i just don't bother posting since it's basically a waste of time. Must i be sarrounded by shnizens. And for the guy who was asking me about his go5700, ive already answered about that, i'm not the answer guy you know. I'm not gona nswer all your questions. I gave you enough about your system specs & how half life 2 will run on a nvidia 5200, so it will run fine on yours. Ive never heard of laptops overheating more than pc's concideing a system can have multiple fans inside. The system you have on your laptop is good ewfhebfuewhfiu or...fuhweuifhfhiuhn whoever you are...you keep changing your name. I would advice that you get a better gfx card only if you wana run hl2, moh pacific assault, & doom3 on high, not ultra (cause that requires a 512 card)

Battlefield 2

Well you all certaily do suck...I found the remarks about retards posting there specs because they think spending ample amount of money is kool, just so they can post how good they are on megagames...And about consoles being better than PC's...wat a load of crap...PC are always gonna be better because they are constantly being upgraded for higher purposes than just gaming...Console may match PC's for about a week maybe when they first come out...before they are left behind in a dust cloud of part upgrades by there PC conterparts...So For All You Faggots...Go To Hell

Battlefield 2

If the helecopter is anything like in desert combat theres no way i can use it. Each time i try in DC i end up flying sideways till i flip over and smash into the ground. Why cant the control be more user friendly? :(

Battlefield 2

Consoles are for children, pc's are for men who want to live a game not play it, an what you said about racing on a console better then a pc ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha yeah right, go an get your hot water bottle an cuddle up to your mummy, you obviously have NO idea what your talking about

Battlefield 2

I truly don't get why people liked BF1942 and BFV. If BF2 is the same as BF42 and BFV, then I am pretty sure that I will hate it also. Is it just me or do you all think so too? I haven't played much BFV but BF1942 was a waste of my downloading time. Yes, I said downloading, I honestly feel bad for the people that paid like 50 bux to get it. Pretty much everything was messed up in BF1942, and the fact that you needed to shoot a person 2 times with a sniper rifle before he died was just idiotic - Don't get me started on the jeep that ran 5 mph, and couldn't even drive onto the smallest hills - a JEEP! I don't know how they didn't see these flaws, I don't even think anyone tested those games before shipping em out. When I first heard that this game was coming out, I was hoping that it wasn't a prequel to BF1942. I didn't like the whole capture the flag theme. The whole game was based on this. It would be a whole different game, but it would be better in my opinion if they made the game with missions such as "plant the bomb", or "rescue the hostage" kinda thing; something like Call of Duty, or Counter-Strike. But from the looks of it so far, BF2 looks pretty promising. I was sold as soon as I saw the graphics. Someone should make a game about the iraqi war, something close to Full Spectrum Warrior, but where you can actually SHOOT AT THE ENEMY BY YOURSELF!With that said, I was wondering if my comp could play this game on these specs:P4 10.9Ghz10GB DDR4001000GB HDDX800XT PEJust playing, I just wanted to see how it feels to be a moron for a sec. Cheers...
