The grandfather of all RPG games is getting the big screen treatment.
Based on the board game that took colleges and high schools by storm in the late '70s, an evil wizard (Jeremy Irons) plots to dethrone the new, young empress (Thora Birch) - she believes in equal rights for all. The empress calls on a band of magicians, rogues, and sorcerers to find an artifact (the Rod of Dragon Control) that will help destroy the wizard's plans. All of that leads up to the final battle of good and evil.
The movie has a planned release for December 8th, 2000.
