After musing about forgoing Assassin's Creed annual release schedule then pondering that that very same annual release cycle is indeed optimal, it seems that Ubisfot has finally made up its mind into releasing yet another Assassin's Creed title in 2012.
The confirmation was made by Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot during an earnings call earlier this week.
Assassin's Creed: Revelations is scheduled for release on November 15th, 2011 and it is set to conclude Desmond's story.

Long time ago I got "locked out" of AC2, worked fine, played fine, 2 months later some CD key error, legit game as always up to 50usd. Fine whatever, old game. So NOW i buy HOMM6, deluxe edition! Not only they fuck up pathetically with their DRM crap, creating annoying online profiles, a FREAKING month after the release and a lot of cry in forums they fail to FIX the most elemental bugs that stop one from playing the damn CAMPAIGN. I had to use a freaking trainer to get rid of 1 bug, another fan made exe to get rid of another and still things dont work... I swear I will never, ever AGAIN give ubi any of my money. Thank YOU for alienating paying customers, i guess if i really wanna try, there's always torrents.
They just rush some half baked crap out of the door and move on. AC is a milkcow, doomsday wont come and u probably end up playing as enzios* grandfather.

Story
They led the game into the direction of having the apocalypse of 2012 being in the Assassin's Creed storyline. They said having the game come out after that date might make it less meaningful, so they want to get it to players before then. It could just be a clever ploy the Head Honcho came up with to get people to buy an Assassin's Creed game every year and possibly to make a quick buck off of the "End of the World" scare.

Someone at Ubisoft stated, they were trying to pump out this series before the end of 2012 because of this Armageddon bullshit. Well tell me ubisoft. If that's the case, what good is money when you're dead. Exactly. That's if this 2012 bullshit comes to pass, which it wont. Oh, and "Megagames" you're writer spelled "Ubisoft" wrong. Just thought I'd point that out. :)

It's amazing how many people get the two mixed up. So I don't mind taking blame for that mistake. But, Megagames is a professional blogger, because any spelling mistake can make, or break a publication.

the fact that one of the central plot points revolves around the mayan 2012 calendar is probably why they are rushing the games out, not becuase Ubisoft believes that the world is going to end.
