What planet are you from Demonic? The driver issue is a old one. Sorry that one does not fly anymore. Check all the reviews on the Catalyst drivers. You must be another 12 year old Nvidia fan-boy. And ATI cards are always cheaper then Nvidia's cards. This gives PC users a option. And the competion is great for us. To say ATI cards are crap you must be living in a cave. The 9700 and it's drivers kick A**

ATI announces All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro

drdeath I'm sorry, but one sucesful driver launch for ati don't mean i buy them. They gotta earn my money, and even though Nvidia are over priced illogical cards, they offer the best driver support. And until ATI can challenge that, I stick with nvidia, not cause I want to, but because I kinda have to.for now anyway

ATI announces All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro

yo death, the driver issues are not old news buddy. They may be alot better than before but nevertheless, their cadalist drivers still have issues with games that have just come out, like no one lives forever 2 (i read the readme, there are about 5-7 problems with ATI cards that it stated, and none for nvidia cards) but they wernt that bad, only some lighting issues and a little color problem that will probably be fixed in a patch or somthing. And I looked into that BF 1942 thing, and yes there are reported driver issues with that as well, but again nothing too serious. Just like I told you before, that their drivers work great with games that are allready out, but the games that will comeout might allso have problems, and eventualy will be fixed.... that is what I ment before about "the games of the future" I'm not arguing this time though, so basicaly I just want you to relize this. Do you understand what I am saying?

ATI announces All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro

As long as they fix the issues right away, which they always do, i see no reason to gripe about the drivers???? If they did not resolve the problems then i would agree 100% with you. And this is a small price to pay to own a high-end video card that surpasses anything Nvidia has out right now...and cost so much less then Nvidia's high-end cards. Hell in some stores i have seen the 4600ti cost the same as the 9700. That's a joke in itself........

ATI announces All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro

"ATI is shit, thats why their cards are cheap. My money is going to Nvidia because atleast their 8x works and they are more faster and sharper for graphics."Ooooo boy... I don't known where to start here...First off...ATi isn't "shit" ATi is a VERY respeciable company that makes great cards. Yes there cards are cheap because they can make then cheap. That 8x "bug" is only on certain MOTHERBOARDs, its not the cards problem.Right now nothing beats the 9700, so how can their products be faster?Although the new GeForce will no doubt be faster.Last but not least, ATi has always been known for its GREAT visual quailty and 2d performance.I wish I knew where these people get there "smart" comments from ;)

ATI announces All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro

blabla, which Nvidia card is faster and displays sharper graphics then the 9700? Tell me. I would love to know. Try running RTCW or Jedi knight in 1600x1200 with fsaax6 and anisotropic filter on x16 on ANY Nvidia card and watch the slide show. As for VCD, DVD, and streaming video playback ATI next to Matrox dominates the market. Even more so with the release of the 9700 all in wonder card. Get your facts straightyou 12 year old fan-boy. And if the 9700 is soooo sh** why would Alienware and a host of other top PC gaming rigs adopt the 9700 in their high-end PC'S????

ATI announces All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro

yo death everyone is forgetting the quadro, comon people, that card has held the thrown for like 6 months now, that is indeed the best desktop card out now. And it uses the detonator XP drivers, (great shit) and the point i was stating earlyer was basicaly nvidia products are more reliable regaurdless of the price, i never said they werent great cards. Oh and yo the MSI geforce 4 ti 4600 only costs $250 and just the other day I saw that the 9700 costs a whoping $400. So basicaly, regaurding price and reliability, i would choose the 4600, and lets not forget, the 4600 is a terific card, and besides who whould ever run there games higher than 1280x1024 with fsaa 4x, that is just stressing your card for somthing that isnt noticeable (that is unless youve got an insanly large high-performence moniter, and those cost insane amounts of money)

ATI announces All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro

The Quadro does not hold that crown anymore either. The WildcatVP by 3-D LABS does. It beat it in almost every bench mark they ran. Check the review at Toms Hardware. And this is why everyone should be prepared to see a good G.P.U. fight when 3-D LABS releases their next generation video cards for consumer P.C'S in the new year. 3-D LABS has the financial muscle to do battle big time....And were talking CONSUMER video cards. These are Professional Workstation Cards that cost in the neibourhood of a grand or more. These are not desktop video cards. And the Quadro does not have half the features of the 9700, or the up coming NV30. Does not support directx9...Does not have the same amount of vertex shaders. Does not support AGP8X. The Quadro is not a gaming card. So it's not ideal for gaming. And ATI'S workstation card: ATI FIRE GL 8800, also beat the Quadro in some bench marks. But the clear victor was the WildcatVP. Nvidia cards are great cards. However, right at this moment the 9700 is the best and fastest consumer card out right now. And it is reliable. If it were not. I really do not think that ALIENWARE would put it in their high-end PC'S. Which happens to be the fastest PC rigs on the market today. (for gaming)

ATI announces All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro

Last week ATI sent our company 3 9700 to test our software on. Let's just say a whole day was spent installing alot of software on those three PC'S. Let me tell you...You see a HUGE difference when you crank games up to 1600x1200 with all the eye candy on. If a card can handle it. Crank it up. The visual difference is quite shocking. You will never want to go back to lower resolutions or less fsaa and ansioscopic filtering again! You get spoiled. Unreal 2003. What a treat to run at high resolution. And still have the game fly at 60+ frames or more constant.....

ATI announces All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro

I used a Amiga once, when pc was f**king 4 colours the amiga was playing with 256 colours Amiga Rulez!I've been using a PC all these years and Amiga is still the best working and user friendly platform to work with. The amiga can play even with the simplest video ram the greatest games.Like:PC has launched Command & Conquer:red alert and it was in 256 colours, then the amiga launched a game that used the same graphics only with 2MB video ram and it was 16 bit compatible.Sure now you know what the best graphic cards are made from...Ati's cards are little clones from the Amiga hardware...Or something like that, bla bla bla bla...Greetz and LOL's,NH

ATI announces All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro

I think this post has gotten a little off topic, but i think the AIW 9700 pro will RULE. I want one, but 2 drawbacks i see. 1) The surely outrageous pricetag. 2) i hear all AIW cards are clocked slower. I have a 32meg DDR Raeon. Does anyone kno what the AIW 9700 pro clock will be at? if so please post it!

ATI announces All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro

DrDeath u r a prick u know that u think u know all but u now shit. Nvidia is and will always be the best especially now that they might team up with AMD aswell as ATI will always have driver problems cause they sux and nvidias cards are getting cheaper by the year so besides i woudnt expect u to know cause ur not a PRO-GAMER so sux that bitch

ATI announces All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro

LOL....Another 12 year old child. "They suck...." So if ATI cards suck as you say, then the 4600ti and all of the other Nvidia cards underneath it must really suck more then the 9700. The 9700 smoked all consumer desk top video cards in every bench mark test including visual presentation. Not to mention DVD and VCD and video play-back. You know what i find funny. For the first time ATI has released a chip-set that is vastly superior to anything Nvidia has to offer right now...and it's reliable and it works. And top PC gaming companies are including it in their top end systems.(ie. ALIENWARE) And this PISSES OFF ALL YOU 12 YEAR OLD Nvidia FAN-BOYS. Instead of being greatful for a company that is giving Nvidia a run for it's money and has surpassed it this time around in the high-end video card market for the time being, you children cry, "ATI SUCKSSSSSS" or "Nvidia RULZZZZZZSSS" Little children. The reason why Nvidia cards are getting cheaper you moron is because of the competion from ATI. If it were not for them Nvidia would charge whatever they wanted for their cards. And do you think the quality would be the same if they were a monopoly? Take a look at Microsoft. There the only company i know that will release a product with so many bugs and problems. They don't give a rats a** because besides linux, their the only game in town. This is why you also have to be thankful for companies like AMD...The competion is great for us consumers. And Deamonic, i know alot more then you do. Well i should. Your only a child...........

ATI announces All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro

"ATI will always have driver problems cause they sux"How do you know they won't improve them? They have come a long way. Why must every person that tries to be smarter then someone always use lame "1337 Sp3Ak"OMzGZ IMA A SUSPAA SMA#e%Tty HaHXORZ UU SUXb4D... I DoN:" KNOWE#$N ANYEINNIG CAUSwe I TAlaKE LIISKEW A MORONroxz.

ATI announces All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro

Blah!!!! BLAH BLAH!!!! STOP ARGUING PEOPLE, ITS NOT EH VIDEO CARDS THAT SUCK, ITS YOU MORONS, STFU ALL YOU ASSHOLES!!! yo death i still didnt get any mail from you, i checked both of my e-mails and none from you. Hey yo I am in a developing crew now, we are making a full scale game with the Unreal Warfare engine, we are getting ideas in the mass, and we have high expectations. If you wana here more or know what its about, e-mail me at ascension420@hotmail.com, or acsension@hotmail.com, nut i check the first one daily.

ATI announces All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro

I was a little messed up when I posted my first comments, I did sound like a 12 year old boy didn't I? Well ok, sorry if you took offense to the "ATI is shit" comment. What I should have said was, even though ATI is respected by a lot of people, I will still go with Nvidia. I owned two ATI cards in the past and they worked well for me except both of them stopped working after a year or so, maybe the cards were damaged when shipped or maybe something was faulty with them I don't know. The card I am now using is Nvidia and I had it for about 6 months now, so I will see if it lasts longer or not.Oh and when you buy something like 3D cards people, always get extended warrenty if possible, and remember to keep your reciepts.

ATI announces All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro

About time ATI. :)Actually, for those of you who are not quite sure about this card:It has unified drivers (like nVIDIA, so they will only get better and better, and they are already spot on, as many websites say).It is the fastest graphics card in the world, period. And, on top of all that, it now has LOADS of video editing and TV teletext, remote control, video+, instant TV, heh, too many to mention.Anonymous said that you can buy a graphics card and a TV tuner for less, yes, but thats exactly what they are. Less, inferior. The ATI is faster than ANY nVIDIA card, or any other card, and its has among the best TV tuner and video capture capabilities money can buy. So shut up if you don't know what you are talking about hehehehe.Off to the shop I go!*skip*skip*skip*

ATI announces All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro

What the hell are you tallking about you dumbphuck, where did you come up with that shit, buy the engine? are you out of your mind? Its a simple process of making a game using the damn engine, kinda how counter-strike was made with the half-life engine. God, sometime I wonder why I even bother.

ATI announces All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro

Inimbrium, I just need to correct what you just said, no the 9700 is definitly not the best nor close to the best videocard in the world, you are thinking "consumer video card" you see you are very confused, the best video cards are used by pro developing companies and large corporations, those cards are generations obove ours and cost tens of thousands of dolloars, those cards are probably 20 times faster and bester in all aspectets of the 3d world. Just felt you should realize that.

ATI announces All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro

Ascension, what do you think the Nvidia NV30 will cost when it's released? I can tell you it will be more then $400 smacks that's for sure. All new Nvidia cards are more expensive then ATI cards. That's i why i go with ATI. Now they release cards that are stable and run fast. As well as their drivers. And their next generation cards(R350,RV350) will be using GDDR3 memory. Quite faster then DDR2 memory........

ATI announces All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro

"What the hell are you tallking about you dumbphuck, where did you come up with that shit, buy the engine? are you out of your mind? Its a simple process of making a game using the damn engine, kinda how counter-strike was made with the half-life engine. God, sometime I wonder why I even bother."First off if you are going to make your OWN game then you will need to create your own gaming engine or buy one. If your gonna use UT2003 for the base, then its MOD not a full GAME. I though you meant that you were gonna make your own game from scratch using the warefare engine. You would then have to BUY the engine.

ATI announces All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro

Duh you think id buy the engine, jesus. Mod, call it what you will, but the thing is it will be a long sp game with multiplayer (much like a Full game) we are planing on releasing the game in stores and be sold like any other game, only, and heres the thing, will will need Unreal 2 (not UT2003) installed on your computer, so basicaly it will be a mod, but it will be a full game.

ATI announces All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro

...and it will basicaly have nothing to do with Unreal, (exept be useing the engine ofcourse, and youed need Unreal 2 installed) Will be be making all our oun models, textures and sounds. If you or anywon you know has experience with 3dsmax, maya, or sound/mixing/music. e-mail me at ascension420@hotmail.com and we may just let you join our company.

ATI announces All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro

Sounds good... BUT starting a company need s MONEY. I first off need a website. A good [url removed] site costs money, buying 3dstudiomax cost ALOT of money, somehow getting the programs that you need to edit all aspects of the game will prob require money. You will also not be able to sell the game either as it will more than likly break some kinda copyright. I'm not saying you can'ts just its not as easy as you may imagine. It would be better to buy the engine as you would then get all the nessessary tools to edit the game properly. Unreal 2 also doesn't come with any MP support.

ATI announces All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro

Ok, buddy, you dont get it, we have allready started the game and have everything we need, another thing we allready have a company site, and is being worked on, and is also a .com. I have allready made multiple weapons and objects for the game in 3dsmax4.2. Our top texture man has made a texture for the colt 45 i have made, we are progressing at a good pace. Our mapper has already made a full map with the UT2003 map editor (wich will work with Unreal 2) so far we are making and testing everything with UT2003 because we own the game. and when Unreal 2 comes out it will be a simple matter of using the same files for that (same engine, same file types, same appect, very simple) we dont need anything else, we are good to go, and will finish in about a year. Any questions?

ATI announces All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro

Another thing, everybody so far in our company is working voluntarily and from home, no money is involved (well not much by the way) Example, look at counterstrike, DOD, basicaly any mod you can think of, do you actualy think those people had any money at all? They were doing it on their free time regaurdless of what money they would get (not much) We are basical the same thing, but are planing to go full scale, and releasing it in stores when it is finished, no copyright issues because it is all original.
