Same. 9800XT... Game runs flawless without the patch. Though I guess it couldn't hurt :D

I still haven't got Doom3 or HL2, & i probably won't get them till after x-mas seeing how i don't get out much lol

No problems here and I am running Cat 4.10, game is smooth even in 1280X960 on my overclocked P4 2.53 (3.0 gighz) and my 9800XT, can't see how these drivers will make much of a difference?

Ok that was a lot of info to address the changes they made to the drivers. Anyone know where there is a more detailed list of changes or are they gonna leave it at that?

4.12 gives me a dissapearing weapon every time i look into the water, apart from that they seem go give a very small fps boost

4.12 messed up all my icons on my desktop changing them all to other programs ones !

Driver seems to me running great for me. I can't tell much difference compared to the 4.11 drivers but nice none the less. My rig is 64 3200, 1 gig corsair, X800 pro. The game is F'n unreal...can't stop playing and have slept 6 hours in the past two days...I'm a zombie.

How the hell does a gfx driver improve issues with punkbuster?Am I the only one that caught that?

I have run hl2 on a r9600se128mb and it works fine on high detail 4Xaa. My 9600xt256 is not too much better except with aa. Ram variance had the most effect for me, with 256mb impossible, 512 good, 730 nice, and 1gb not much better.This using catalyst 4.2Could a driver tweak help much?After Testing, 3fps better.Meh.

the 4.11 runs great for my 9800pro runnin hl2 1600x1200 res,very nice ill wait for the offical 4.12's..

I have noticed with my X800 pro as well as with my dad's 9800XT we get graphic corruption sometimes after a restart. Lines horizontal and vertical on the desktop and it happens with the 4.11s and the 4.12s which are basically the same drivers. I guess I'll just have to deal for know.

I have problems with the HIS x600 PCI-E card. Bf-Vietnam crashes loads since I went with an ATI card. Can anyone help b4 I go get an Nvidia PCI-E card ?

MIKE!!! I GET THAT ASWELL!. If u can post back plz do. I have a 9800pro 256 & get display corruption when i restart (only sometimes) aswell, i thought it was just me. But when that happnes, i simply restart over n over untill it appears right (usually only takes 1 more reboot)

i have DLed and installed CAT 4.12 but it gets rid of my previous catalyst control conter that i DLed previously from ati.com:S is any one else getting this

4.12 crash my PC. I have to reformat my PC. Whatever you do...do not install the driver. BETA=SUCKAGE!

I emailed ATI about the problem a while back and have yet to get a responce....you might want to let them know that you are having this problem as well. It may happen once every 6 to 10 restarts sometimes less, sometimes more.... god I hope they fix this.

Well....i was worrying that it might be my card Mike, but i'm glad that you & ur dad are having this issue aswell. I get the random display corruption every few boots aswell. Sometimes i even get corruption in some games...like if i'm in a dark room, i'll mybe sometimes see lots of white sparkles filling the darkness.

you guys ever try flashing you bios, it might help

the problem you guys are havin is sort of similer to mines, but my problem is that when i play a game, any game for expmple SOF2 which i play most..at random times the game just either it freezes, error pops up, or pc restrats by itself, and i thought it was the drivers, which im guessing it is, but what i dont udnerstand is..ive gotten over 7 different drivers and still same old problem, the one i have now is this exact one..it use to be perfect..no errors or notting..its been a week now and it just started happenin..ive been askin for help for sometime now and i was wonderin if you guys can help me, im about to email ATI and see what i get from them.

don't reformat getta copy of winternals boot from cd n have it fix your system
