Call of Duty Sales Are Declining

Call of Duty: Black Ops II might have surpassed its predecessors in terms of day one revenues, but it seems that it is on track to lose to them in terms of total sales.

According to data gathered by Sterne Agee, sales of the latest Call of Duty title went down as much as 20% during its launch week. Accordingly, the company estimates that Black Ops II will end up 10 to 15 percent lower than last year’s Modern Warfare 3.

If Sterne Agee’s prediction turns out to be true, it would mark the second decline for the series. Last year, Modern Warfare 3 sales were around 5% less than 2010’s Call of Duty: Black Ops.

haha!

COD sales are declining? thank christ for that...hopefully I'll get to open a PC magazine without having to look at all that generic, consoley bullshit that is the COD series.

WHAT THE FUCK???

Have ANY of you actually played the game? It's entirely different than all the other "re-skinned" Cods. You fly a combat jet FREELY, as in free roam. You choose your missions, how to execute them, what weapons to take. Not to mention it ACTUALLY has a story. And a good one at that. So suck it all you haters.

Oh lord help us all... this

Oh lord help us all... this is the worst thing that could happen to this poor company.... not 20% noooo!!! Thats like what.... 20 BILLION dollars less? What the FUCK are they crying about? They make so much money of COD games they complain there is a decline in sales? REALLY? So now the CEOs can only buy 3 Solid Gold Yachts? (Remember when you are rich, physics do not apply anymore) I think we should all DONATE $20 to save the COD franchise. Gimme a fucking break.

It is amazing that the

It is amazing that the success has lasted this long. All they do is reskin the same game with the same story and the same weapons. A few trickets added. Come on people, they do a 7 month cycle and everyone buys it... Time to take a long hard look at your life.
