Infinity Ward claims that its update for Call of Duty, coming in early 2006, will address the growing unrest felt by the CoD community.

There has been a lot of mumbling lately from the CoD community regarding Infinity Ward and its conduct following its partnership with Activision such as the lack of anti-cheat measures and of mod support. The company, it appears has found out about the complaints and will be addressing a few of them with its coming PC CoD update.

Activision and Infinity Ward announced plans to release new multiplayer maps as part of a Call of Duty 2 PC update that will also include PunkBuster anti-cheat software and additional support enhancements. The download is currently scheduled for release in early 2006 and will be available from the game's official website, link from download tab above.
