Speaking at the DICE summit, Epic vice president Mark Rein revealed that the company's upcoming Unreal Engine 4 is already running on "systems we can't name yet."

Rein then confirmed that Unreal Engine 4 will be revealed this year. "People are going to be shocked later this year when they see Unreal Engine 4 and how much more profound an effect it will have," he said.

This is the future of gaming

This is the future of gaming now. --------------------- The developers have already said that it will run on next gen systems that they can't name and it always means consoles. ----------------------- To say it could be something like Windows 8, as something that they were hinting at, is a false assumption based on the fact the Windows is an operating system (software) where as the system they are talking about is hardware. ------------------ It looks like we'll all be getting **** - half decent games for the next ten years.

This unamed system could be anything, maybe even Windows 8, you never know. Though I am looking forward to the new Unreal Engine. I absolutely love the unreal engines. They are extreemly compatible, Unreal 3 has been working on any kind of system for me over the last years. I never had an unreal game that did not work on any PC.
