Speaking at the DICE summit, Epic vice president Mark Rein revealed that the company's upcoming Unreal Engine 4 is already running on "systems we can't name yet."
Rein then confirmed that Unreal Engine 4 will be revealed this year. "People are going to be shocked later this year when they see Unreal Engine 4 and how much more profound an effect it will have," he said.

Actually its not a console
It's running on Nvidia's Keppler GPU - which is unreleased and no details are known about it yet.
This is the future of gaming
This is the future of gaming now. --------------------- The developers have already said that it will run on next gen systems that they can't name and it always means consoles. ----------------------- To say it could be something like Windows 8, as something that they were hinting at, is a false assumption based on the fact the Windows is an operating system (software) where as the system they are talking about is hardware. ------------------ It looks like we'll all be getting shit - half decent games for the next ten years.
why??
why did megagames say consoles when they never used the word only systems
Haha
This unamed system could be anything, maybe even Windows 8, you never know. Though I am looking forward to the new Unreal Engine. I absolutely love the unreal engines. They are extreemly compatible, Unreal 3 has been working on any kind of system for me over the last years. I never had an unreal game that did not work on any PC.
Meh
So an unreleased engine can run on an unnamed hardware yet to be released? Brilliant!
