Far Cry 2 DRM Promises To Behave Nicely

A Ubisoft forum manager outlined Far Cry 2's DRM (Digital Rights Management) system and it seems that it will be one of most well behaving DRM systems of all time.

- You have 5 activations on 3 separate PCs.
- Uninstalling the game "refunds" an activation. This process is called "revoke", so as long as you complete proper uninstall you will be able to install the game an unlimited number of times on 3 systems.
- You can upgrade your computer as many time as you want (using our revoke system)
- Ubisoft is committed to the support of our games, and additional activations can be provided.
- Ubisoft is committed to the long term support of our games: you'll always be able to play Far Cry 2.

The main difference between Far Cry 2's DRM and Spore's is the ability to revoke your activation when you uninstall the game, thus allowing you to reinstall it on any other PC.

So you need to connect when uninstalling and get an'install ticket' back...If not, can you not uninstrall or do you lose an install slot?f**king stupid.Oh wait, i know! The losers who said they were going to buy it until the heard of the DRM or something similar are plain liars. They were going to pirate it anyway.I will buy it and download a pirate version, why? Easy, one I have a legal copy and two the pirated version can be installed easier. I do this alot, that way developers get the money they deserve and I get a game that just works.

I was about to buy the game until I've heard about DRM. It's good to encourage game developpers and pay what they deserve, but in this case, they've gone too far. If my window crash and unable to uninstall it, I'll have to call those mor0ns and waste my time to play. On the other side, cracking it wont be an @ssh0le to play the game. Congratsdulations, you forced me to get a pirated version even if the game is worth it. Want us to buy the game, make something similar to Steam and people will buy it for sure. EA is crap now a days...

Far Cry 2 DRM Promises To Behave Nicely

Far Cry 2 DRM Promises To Behave Nicely

fuck you tarnakman, I bought Sins of a Solar Empire (DRM less) just because it didn't have copy protection. I will do the same with any other big title out. But wait, all of them have DRM.Well, let the utorrent work. BTW, Dead Space on the way, posted in isohunt.hc6qp5vq

Far Cry 2 DRM Promises To Behave Nicely

PEOPPLE! even if windows crashes(which is f**king rare unless your a moron... seriouly..) you still have 4 other chances to install the game... morons... yes DRM sucks but the only way it will kill pc gaming is if people pirate... if everyone say... stoped pirateing then there would be no need for DRM but more people pirating becuse of drm, just makes them add more and more of it... so ultimatly only f**ks stuff up more..
