Firearms 2.4 released

Firearms is a modification of Valve Software's computer game, Half-Life. It's an realistic modification of the actual game, that focuses on teamplay with altered Half-Life gameplay, and new rules plus lots of new content. It features multiplay only, and therefore it is only playable online or at your local area network. In order to play Firearms, you need to own a copy of Half-Life.

It's being developed by the FA team and it's a none commercial project. We are developing Firearms because we think it's fun. In Firearms you play in teams, or rather armed forces. Every time you join or start a game, you will join one of the two forces being Red or Blue. Each time you choose what weapons and optional items you want, an kevlar vest is required gear though. Each force has an certain amount of reinforcements, which stands by and are thrown into action as a game progresses. When there is no reinforcements left, and all active soldiers has the been killed, the standing team wins the battle.

There is lots of different scenarios and mission objectives in Firearms, and the above rules is the basic way it plays on all of them. Each individual soldier are awarded ranks as he gets better and when he helps the team. You can also gain skills as you advances in rank. Bandages can heal your gun shot wounds, but they won't make you gain in heal, so you should be aware of the danger lurking all places, when you and your team moves into enemy territory. Firearms has been around for a long, long time.

I can see immaturity has no bounds and stretches out beyond counter-strike. Perhaps all of you should re-read what you have posted because it shows how immature you all are. If you really like or hate a mod or game then say exactly why. All those people who just spout off about "THIS RULEZ, THIS SUXORZ!!!" have really no arguement.

After reading all the crappo the boys(13yrs and below I assume) has wrote here I am starting to DL it now.I love CS myself, but however I dont judge another game without have tested it.So now I am goin to test it out, and then come back here and tell you what I really feel for the game.Actually I did not plan to download it, because I assumed it never could be even close to CS in coolnes.But after reading all the idiotic comments above, cheeses I just has to try it, because If all the morons above play CS, it is just on time to change game for me,But that will naturally only happen if this is better than CS, with I doubt, but at least I am gonna give it a real try.................
