FTC Investigating EA's Anti Competitive Behavior

Electronic Arts today announced that it received a second request for information from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regarding its proposed acquisition of Take-Two Interactive.

EA stated officially that it believes that "its proposed transaction with Take-Two would not be anti-competitive" and that "the FTC has not yet reached any conclusions regarding the proposed acquisition and has indicated that it needs further information and additional time to conduct its review".

The Federal Trade Commission today received a petition from several auto-safety groups that asks for a ban on renting out recalled automobiles that have not been serviced. The FTC criticism involved the businesses Enterprise, National and Alamo. A $15 million jury award from earlier within the year is what the request comes from the for FTC.
