Game Boy Advance will be released in the U.S. on June 11, but the lucky gamers in Japan will experience the power of GBA on March 21st. A major press event recently took place in Japan, revealing exciting news about the future of Game Boy Advance.

At this event, speeches were made by Mr. Atsushi Asada, Executive Vice President, Nintendo Co., Ltd; Mr. Satoru Iwata, Corporate Planning Div. Director/General Manager, Nintendo Co., Ltd; and Mr. Tsunekazu Ishihara, General Producer of Pokémon, President of Creatures.

Mr. Asada confirmed that 25 Game Boy Advance games will be available when the revolutionary system hits store shelves in Japan.

The new console, which will cost 9,800 yen ($82) in Japan, already has consumers rushing for it. That consumer response is expected to be repeated in the US beginning June 11, when Nintendo's wildly anticipated Game Boy Advance arrives with a slate of 15 brand new games designed specifically to demonstrate its breakthrough performance, headlined by Nintendo icon Mario in Super Mario Advance. The system will carry a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $99.95, while new game software will retail for between $29.95 and $39.95.
