I recommend this card to any MegaGamer. Especially for people playing Planstside/Morrowind style gfx. Although, i don't think you should get the card for 2 weeks? maybe 3 or 4 weeks, as most games do not fully support this card, and need time to adapt :)short & sweet :)

as long as ATI and NVIDIA are both release great products im a happy man because it will come down to a price war! and CHEAP HIGH LEVE GRAPHICS CARDS OWN!although id like a geforcefx 5900 ultra for 79 dollars :D

Ya. Who cares if it's released. The card costs $499.99(US) and is marginaly faster then the 9800pro 128 meg version in some tests. And in some cases loses to the 9800pro in tests and the 9800pro costs $399.99(US)If the 5900 Ultra came out right sfter the 9700pro. Then this card would be something of a kickass product. But it did not. And is on the same level as the 9800pro, just more expensive with less visual quality. *YAWN*

hahahaha! "powerful and reliable"! Well, my GF 4 mx isn't either powerful or reliable. I must use the absolutely oldest drivers, because the newer ones ( detonator & creatives driver for GF 4 mx) just makes my computer go slower or crash when i start a game. it says it can't find a graphics card that supports t&l. NVIDIA make some good drivers, and not some drivers that doesn't work even if you format the computer and install the drivers then!

nvidia will b disapeer if they released another shit like this look all the time they need to released a card realy not better of any ati (9700 and 9800)fsaa is realy ugly i see a lot of jagies at 6 x in a lot of game

The Radeon 9800 Pro runs cooler, quieter, only takes up one case slot, runs better in every single benchmark we tested with, and to top it all off, is less expensive as well.ATI will continue to dominate the gamer's market with the Radeon 9800 series.Quoted from[url removed]

The 9900pro is going to kill the 5900ultra. Man ATI is good at ruining Nvidia's fun. Also the 9800pro has better image quality, and is faster in most benchmarks. the 5900ultra only has 2 or 3 months to sell until the 9900pro comes out. Nvidia's only hope is the NV40, but don't forget about the R420 (loki) ATI is working with synapps on that one.

the last post is correct but it didnt test the 5900ultra at high resalution with UT2003 adn the 5900ultra beats it in other reviews at resolution over 1280*1024 and same with other game which were not tested their. Both are extremely good cards each one has its ups and downs its up to u to pick the one u think is best

The games the 5900 Ultra beats the 9800pro in are Jedi Knight.(old) Quake3(older) Serious Sam. (OLD). UT2003 in some maps. It lost to the 9800pro in Shader intense games like Commanche4.(OLD) and Splinter Cell. The DOOM3 alpha is just that. ALPHA. That should not even be used as a benchmark yet. And Nvidia tweaked their drivers for it also. It was also designed with nvidia hardware in mind. When the game is finally released there will be the R360 in September. And the R420 and NV40 in late December. And you can bet those cards will be optimized for DOOM3. And what precision will Nvidia program their drivers for DX9 games, that's the real question. Will they f**k you Nvidia consumers by dropping the Floating point prescion just to get a few extra frames per second and sacrifice visual quality like they have done in those 3dmarks2003 dx9 tests? For $500 they better f**king not. But if they run it at the required specification of DX9 requirements (minimum of FP24) the card will run slower then the 9800pro as the FP for Nvidia cards run slower then ATI's FP.The 5900Ultra is a great card, but it's STILL not the Radeon killer.

hey I got got a MSI 5900ultra, and it kick ass. I am currently play the demo Gun metal which is optimized for Cg. Holy shit the graphics are amazing. However I must say that, I previously owned a 9800pro and returned it for the 5900ultra. Since I have played the Gun metal demo on bothe card I must say that ATI's AF and FSAA is better more clear, sharp and less jaggies.

Bah, this G-FX and Radeon thing is all full of shit. Sure they both claim to be faster over the other but benchmark tests already prove that they are both full of shit. If their benchmarking is flawed then what other flaws are they trying to hide? I think both of these companies need to stop sending every card modification they can think of straight to market and start doing some research on flaws so that there is no more benchmark cheats, faulty driver designs, or a few of the other bugs that seem to popup over time. All I can say is this whole thing smells like a loaded diaper and both of ati as well as nvidia needs to learn to change it or meet the same fate as 3DFX.

The fall of 3dfx was because they could not get their cards out in time. Who the f**k are you to tell Nvidia and ATI to get their shit straight. These two companies are making millions while you're at home jackin off. f**k Future Mark their benches don't mean shit all.

3dfx, f**k-up their path in video cards. They were the stupid assholes that said "32bit colour was not nessacary" in other terms. The f**kers were making their cards run fast with less f**king image quality compared to other cards. Thank god they went chapter 11.

>>>>ATI HAVE ALOT OF PROBLEMSS WORKING RIGHT WITH ALOT OF NEWEST GAMES!.<<<<<Oh really? Try playing GTA3:Vice City with a fx card. Major issues with that game and it's drivers. Some scenes are not fully rendered. This old story of incompatibility with games from ATI is so full of crap now, it's just shit spewing from Nvidia fanboys. That old line from John Carmack about Nvidia being the "Golden Standard" is wayyyyyy f**king past. That was 3 years ago. Nvidiots, stop living in the past.

actually that problem with vice city is a problem of the game... the problem was admitted by rockstar and they released version 1.1 of gta vice city just to fix the graphics corruption on some cards... my fx was one of them but once i updated... not a problem

Its the directx issue & not graphic card issue. I have Radeon 9700 pro. I have older games like midtown madness that works fine with Directx 8.1. When i update to Directx 9, i get alot of graphic glitches. Microsoft crappiness driver screw up everything. F*ck Microsoft.
