Google Hires Noah Falstein As Chief Game Designer

After entering nearly all other tech industry branches, it looks like Google has finally decided to try its hands at game development.

The company didn’t make any official announcement yet, but it did hire veteran game designer and producer, Noah Falstein, as Chief Game Designer.

Falstein started his career as co-designer and project leader of 1983’s arcade game, Sinistar. Since then, he’s worked with Lucasfilm Games, LucasArts and DreamWorks before becoming president of The Inspiracy, a consulting firm specializing in game design and production for clients on five continents.

Falstein’s C.V. is solid to say the least, but there is one point that caught our attention the most. He is an advisory board member of Serious Games Summit.

The summit defines Serious Gaming as "using Games, Game Technology, or Game Industry Techniques for a purpose other than pure entertainment Using Games, Game Technology, or Game Industry Techniques for a purpose other than pure entertainment."
