consoles suck they don't do well by putting excellent pc games on a piece of shit of a console (creamcast and gaystation2)ex.1 control issues ex.2 multiplayer ex.3 custom mods and levelsetc, need i say more.

I feel that the conversion from pc to console was innevitable, as the developers try to show off what they can do, and the console companies show off how powerful thier systems are. I don't think the console versions will match up to the pc quality or success. But never the less at least more people can experience the wonder that is Half-Life

fking psx2 don´t you see those graphics. and it only has 4mb videoram. compare those to geforce2gts ultra with 64mb ddr ram. the difference is so huge. i really recommend that everyone who is going to buy a psx2 and already has a good pc should think twice before buying a psx2. because with the price of psx2 you can get the geforce 2gts with 64mbddr ram(at least in finland). and of course ps2 won´t never have a mod like counter strike. so every one should really consider alternative options. psx2 is a crappy machine. what else can you do with it exept playing games. nothing. maybe the graphics of ps2 H-L are better but ps2 can´t have the counterstrike

Dreamcast are a nice console. almost teh same speed as psx2, by a dreamcast very cool, and cheep, i can't spell al right!!

It is a good idea to bring a great game to a console system. The biggest problem will be the controlls, they will suffer tremendously. You can't play a game designed for a mouse and keyboard with a playstation controller.Yes, the ps2 has a 4mb video card, but with the ps2's ability to pump 44 million polygons a second through it, it's like having a 32MB card, or thereabouts. Secondly you can do much more than play games with a ps2, just like the dreamcast, it can go online with either a modem or a broadband connection (cable, DSL). Also, eventually the PS2 will have a hard drive (via a USB port) and a whole bunch of other things too. It will be like having an affordable PC.

Hi,Also ist doch ganz einfach:Half-Life auf PS2 ist doch cool ,weil die Grafik dann mal optimiert wird.Dann ist es doch egal ob das Teil nur 4 MB Grafikspeicher hat.Es wird trotzdem sehr gute Grafik rauskommen, weil die Programmierergenaue Sytemvorgaben haben und deshalb können sie auch bessere Grafik als bei einem PC erzeugen.Natürlich ist der PC viel besser, rein technisch gesehen, aber man kann kein Spiel für (PC) optimieren weil dieses Teil ist VARIABEL.(weil KEIN PC gleich ist!!!! ABER DIE PS2 ist es!!)Also Half-LIfe auf der PLaystation wird bestimmt cool!!Hoffe das man es brennen kann!!SEK
