Description Rumor around the web is that Call Of Duty 6 will take the series into science fiction settings. This rumor is false, but not entirely groundless.
After a little digging around, we traced the rumor back to an Infinity Ward insider who was quoted saying: "We are currently working on a new sci-fi title, we cannot release any more information as of yet, we may or may not announce it at E3."
Obviously, nothing in the statement suggests that the aforementioned game a new Call Of Duty sequel.
Infinity Ward developed the original Call Of Duty as well as its first and third sequels. Call Of Duty 5 is currently being developed by Treyarch. Infinity Ward officials declined to make further comments.
