Description A Japanese press release issued by Nintendo confirmed that the company will release a new Nintendo DS handheld.
The new DS, slightly larger and 100 grams heavier will sport 4.2 inches screens instead of the current 3 inches screens. As for now the new DS has been announced only for Japan and is set to retail there for 20,000 yen (about $220), compared to the current Nintendo DSi's price of 18,900 yen.
The larger screens and stylus indicate that the new system may target the elderly and those with poor eyesight.
