Description This program was initially created to demonstrate a simple flame effect and nothing more. At the time flame rendering algorithm was very simple. It was identical to the flame generation algorithm used in few DOS screensavers and ZX-Spectrum demos.
Next the creators added a blending mechanism, necessary for mixing flame and background images. Then a contour trace engine was added, so flame became sensitive to the background picture. The program was named 'Burning Desktop'. The final step in making this fun tool was the introduction of a palette editor and its conversion to a screensaver. This is how Fantastic Flame Screensaver came to be.
