Microsoft Renews Killer Instinct Trademark

Microsoft announced that it has renewed its trademark for the 17 years old one-on-one brawler, Killer Instinct.

"With all due respect to our friends in the media who like to frequent trademark sites, we thought we’d break this one ourselves. :)," the company said on its PlayXBLA website.

"Our legal eagles have authorized us to say: We have either renewed or refiled a trademark application in various jurisdictions."

Most likely, this means that the game will be ported to XBLA and nothing more.

love it

I play these 2 games all the time still. I have M.A.M.E. setup on my pc with controllers...and run mortal kombat, SF series and KI series. They need to make a new KI.

FINALLY

OH HELL YES about freaking time they released the killer instinct series on XBL. knowing them they will refine the GFX and the audio and heres hoping they put a couple of extra addtions into it

i am hoping

if they do ki 2 they add cinder riptor and thunder to it....but i doubt it i would just be happy with a hd update of the original 2 games A sequel would be great but rare are not the company they once were so not sure if they could do it justice
