The Nintendo Switch's reveal answered a lot of questions, but it also left more questions unanswered. Most prominently, Nintendo left all questions regarding the console's pricing, hardware and software unanswered. Luckily for us, NVIDIA couldn't wait to reveal its part in making the tablet-console hybrid happen.

In a post on NVIDIA's blog, the hardware maker revealed that the Switch's "high-efficiency scalable processor includes an NVIDIA GPU based on the same architecture as the world’s top-performing GeForce gaming graphics cards." This description fits Pascal chipset which currently powers graphics cards such as the GTX 1080 and the GTX 1070, and is set to power NVIDIA's upcoming Tegra X2 mobile CPU.

NVIDIA also revealed that it is supporting the Switch with "fully custom software, including a revamped physics engine, new libraries, advanced game tools and libraries" in addition to custom operating system integration with the GPU to increase both performance and efficiency.

The Nintendo Switch is scheduled for release in March 2017.
