In order to streamline its approval process, Sony decided to ban PSPgo Mini Games from utilizing wirless multiplayer, offering downloadable content, getting software updates, or exceeding 100 Mega Bytes in size.
"When you look at it from a testing perspective, you have to do more QA. [Allowing those features] would defeat the purpose of having a dedicated service for smaller content," Sony Computer Entertainment America senior account manager Justin Cooney said.
"It increases the barriers."
PSPgo Mini Games are allowed to have "local multiplayer" where players take turns by swapping the handheld back and forth.

The 'mini-games' are a new section of the PS Store, and will mostly be little indy games akin to what you could get from the iTunes app store. They'll be in the under $10 price range (as low as $2 I think).Today an update from Sony clarified this article, saying it's only for the very first wave of games anyhow:"So you can patch Minis, but we won't have multiplayer functions in the beginning. Basically, to get these developers on board, and to make it easier to test and get it through the pipeline, we won't be allowing that functionality for the first stage of Minis.
