Ouya has announced Free The Games Fund, a program that supports Kickstarter games built for OUYA, with $1 million in matching funds.
The program will match KickStarter funds for games that reach their funding target between August 9th, 2013 and August 10th, 2014. The funding target must be more than $50,000 and the game will have to be Ouya exclusive for 6 months at least.
In return, Ouya will match 100% of the total funds raised up to $250,000 (or until the $1M fund runs out) and provide a bonus earn-out of $100,000 to the game that raises the most cash via Kickstarter by the end of the one year fund.
