Overclocking a Pentium 3 500MHz to 900MHz

Using an Asus Cusl 2 motherboard, capable of a maximum FSB of 215 MHZ!!!, this guy managed to turn his Pentium 3 500 to a 900MhZ processor and he has the images to prove it. Press on the small cpu idle shot to see the full details.
The system he used is as follows :
cpu PIII 500E Fcppga Q947A078 0204 SL3R2 rock at bus 199 x5 =995
M/B Asus Cusl 2 i815E solano 2 Bios 1001A
VGA Matrox G400 16M Dual head driver 552
Memory Micron pc133 CL 2 2 2 -7E
H/D IBM DTLA 307015 15G 7200 rpm ata 100
Cooling Peltier + water cooler
visit the more info link to find out exactly how he did it.

you can blow out your processor, be carefuland im not lieing when i say turn off you system immediately if sparks or smoke shoot out. You wonder why the good companies like Intel and IBM dont give tech support and voids your warranty. but with AMD when you get it its a slow chip that i have seen shoot sparks when on too long (they overclock slow chips to DANGEROUS levels)

i hate athlon not as poewerful for example took at the game Quake 3's requirements 266MHZ PII or K6 350 MHZ i have a 733 MHZ PIII if i overclocked it it would be by 50-150 MHZ no faster. but the system before this one (3 monthes ago i had) 166MHZ and you should only over clock those by 30 MHZ because it in percentages

If you need help over clocking (but i do NOT reccomend it): There is a bus speed like on my system its 133 and theres a multiplier frequency its 5.5 on mine its a 733MHZ PIII 133x5.5=731 (733 cuz it not exactly 5.5). you can NOT change the Multiplier, but what you can do is change the BUS sometimes in bios (at startup you have a thing that sayslike press del [btw this aint backspace its del on number pad]) press the botton that is says to. goto processors and they mght have somthing about the multiplierthen look around. if there isnt anything goto the manual of the motherboardand look for changing the frequency. if its at 500 mhz 100 bus its 5 multiplierso if you change the jumper pins or dip switches so its 120 bus to get the speed you do 5x120=600 (a 100 mhz difference)
