PlayStation Diablo III Won’t Require Persistent Internet Connection

If you still need more reasons to be disappointed at Diablo III, here it is: it seems that the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions of the game won’t require a persistent internet connection like its PC and Mac counterparts.

It seems John Hight’s tongue slipped while discussing Diablo III co-op gameplay during an interview with GameTrailers.

"You can have four people on the same screen - no split-screen, we just zoom the camera out. Or if you're offline," he said.

Diablo III has been confirmed for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 release, but no launch window is specified yet.

Just keeps getting better and better

As if the game isn't disappointing enough, the price is exaggerated and the consoles will be treated even better. Rot in hell Blizzard. They already lost me as a customer since SC2 came out and this news just keeps me more inclined towards not giving these idiots the money they don't deserve.
