Portal 2 Release Date Revealed By EA

EA announced an agreement with Valve to distribute Portal 2 in retail channels.

Recently named the most anticipated game of 2011 at the Spike TV Video Game Awards, and releasing worldwide in April 2011, Portal 2 will see players introduced to a host of fresh puzzles, devious new test chambers in never-before-seen areas of Aperture Science Labs and be reunited with GLaDOS, the occasionally murderous computer companion from the original Portal. The game's all-new co-operative mode will feature its own unique campaign and characters, and will force players to both act and think together.

"Portal 2 is Valve's most innovative title in the company's history and will be launched with a first-class launch campaign this April," said Doug Lombardi, vice president of marketing at Valve. "We're excited to be working with Electronic Arts to deliver this title as we expand our platform strategy to include the Mac and PlayStation 3 platforms."

Needless to say, Valve will still be responsible for the online distribution of Portal 2 through Steam. The game will be available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC and Mac on April 21, 2011.

Get your shit together...

“Portal 2 is Valve's most innovative title in the company's history and will be launched with a first-class launch campaign this April,” ........ I strongly disagree with this. Portal is just a puzzle game building upon the concept of having a gravity(portal) gun.. Valve, get your shit together and give us Half Life 3 (not episode 3, I'm sick of the source engine).

Portal isn't just a puzzle

Portal isn't just a puzzle game, its a portal puzzle game. It's innovative because before the first portal there was only one game ever using this kind of paradigm, and when valve saw it they hired the creators and they made portal.

Who cares about hl3 really? That's just another FPS, and who cares about a new engine? it's just shinier graphics...

You sound like a very repetitive person. Forget the new and interesting, give us more of the same and shiny.
