The Samsung Gear VR is available now in U.S. stores for $99.
Powered by Oculus, the Gear VR is currently available at select Best Buy and AT&T stores, with T-Mobile coming soon.
Oculus promised more than 25 brand new made-for-VR games and experiences to be released for the Gear VR by early December. You can now play the highly anticipated EVE: Gunjack and fight mutants with Mortal Blitz VR. In the next week, you’ll be able to explore VR’s first aquatic safari park in Ocean Rift and interact with cute and mischievous monsters in Finding Monsters.
Gear VR is only compatible with the 2015 Samsung GALAXY flagship smartphones which includes Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 Edge+. It is a great deal if you already own one of those devices, but don't get out of your way to buy it otherwise as the Oculus Rift is only a few weeks away from its Q1 2016 launch window.
