Runescape Lost City of Elves can finally be explored

Runescape is a game that's been around for a long, long time, especially for a free to play browser RPG. Through that time it's gone though several major iterations, graphical updates and overhauls, but throughout all of it, the Elf city of Prifddinas has remained entirely unplayable, that is until now.

After 10 years of stoicly refusing player entry in the game, the fabled city has now opened its doors; to half of its halls. Players wishing to enter can now explore up to four different clan controlled districts, each containing quests and battles that are unique to their corner of the city.

If you fancy a challenge, you can take your best suit of armour and weaponry into the gladiatorial arena known as the Rush of Blood, where you'll fight some of the world's nastiest beasts. Or you can really challenge yourself with the Hall of Fame, which will have you fighting some of the world's toughest bosses, whilst debuffed by dark crystals.

There is much more to come, with a whole other half of the Elven city to be unveiled. Jagex expects to have the rest of it finished and available for fans to play by the end of the year.
