Description In an interview with the U.K. version of Playstation magazine, Dan Houser, Rockstar's creative vice president, has admonished both Microsoft and Sony for engaging in the console and format wars too fiercely and forgetting the developer.
Mr. Houser's main target was the XBbox 360 and when asked whether the lack of a guaranteed hard drive and the limited storage capacity of the conventional DVD format imposed technical limitations he eloquently replied, Yep. He went on to add, To be honest with you we haven't solved all those riddles yet...both have enormous challenges, only to add, both have their own particular pleasures and pains.
This last statement suggests that Rockstar is not particularly happy with the PS3 either. XBox 360 owners concerned by the statements by the Rockstar exec should take courage from the revelation that the GTA IV footage we have, so far, experienced have been generated using an XBox 360; the visual quality of said footage should have even the most demanding gamers drooling in anticipation.
