The first trailer for the remastered version of System Shock is now available and as you might expect, it's looking pretty damn good. The guys at Night Dive have been doing a good job and have translated the creepy feel of the original into modern aesthetics without much difficulty it seems.
The homage to the original's giant interface with the rounded edges and overlays is a really nice touch and the space station itself has that blocky feel that made the first so claustrophobic and dangerous to navigate.
The shambling inhabitants of the near abandoned station look pretty good too and are thankfully not some tired interpretation of the zombies we've come to find in just about every game over the past few years, with blank staring eyes and their elongated arms.
This isn't the only System Shock game in the works of course. There's also another sequel being developed, though details remain quite scant for now.
